SecurityWeek scheduled its AI Risk Summit alongside the CISO Forum Summer Summit for June 25–26, 2024, at the Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay. The two concurrent programs were aimed at people managing the security, privacy, governance, and regulatory risks of artificial intelligence in business and government.

What was the AI Risk Summit + CISO Forum?

SecurityWeek presented the AI Risk Summit and its CISO Forum Summer Summit as concurrent programs at the same venue. The CISO Forum agenda said registrants could attend sessions from both events. The event announcement described a combined ticket for the two programs, rather than separate, unrelated conferences.

The event was scheduled for June 25–26, 2024, at the Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay. SecurityWeek’s preview placed the venue 20 miles from San Francisco International Airport; that is the published distance, not a current route or drive-time estimate.

Who was the event intended for?

The organizer described an audience spanning security and risk executives, AI researchers, policy makers, software developers, and business and government stakeholders. Its stated aim was to offer “meaningful guidance on risk management in the age of artificial intelligence”—an organizer’s description of the event’s purpose, not an independent assessment of its results.

What topics were on the announced agenda?

The published agenda material connected enterprise use of generative and predictive AI with security threats, privacy, governance, and regulation. Listed subjects included ethical data use, red teaming, attacks on models, sensitive-data protection, insider threats, third-party risk, and enterprise risk management.

Examples of published session titles included “Data and GenAI Workflows: How RAG Risks Private Information,” “The Simple, Yet Lethal, Anatomy of an AI Attack,” “A Red Team Approach to AI Security,” and “AI Third-Party Risk Management – A Roadmap.” These titles indicate planned subject matter; they do not establish what a session concluded or how effective the event was. The available AI Risk Summit agenda page does not provide a complete running order, so these examples should not be read as a full schedule.

How did the combined event package work?

In its June 17, 2024 release distributed through Business Wire, SecurityWeek said: “A single ticket provides access to both events, along with all meals during the conference, exclusive dinners, and the opportunity to play in the SecurityWeek Golf Classic on the Ocean Course at the Half Moon Bay Golf Links.” This describes the package announced for the 2024 event, not a current ticket offer. Golf participation was presented as an opportunity, not a required part of the conference.

What is known about attendance or outcomes?

The event preview, release, and surfaced agenda do not establish an attendance figure, attendee-satisfaction result, or measurable security outcome. The published material supports a description of the announced program and intended audience, not a retrospective judgment of what participants gained.
