The best AI podcast for you depends on what you want to hear: research and science, stories from people building AI, examples of industry deployments, or a weekly news briefing. These four shows offer distinct routes into the subject, rather than a single universal ranking. This is a 2025 selection, not a live 2026 ranking; show schedules, catalogs, and listening-platform availability can change.
Which AI podcast fits what you want to learn?
| Show | Best fit | What distinguishes it |
|---|---|---|
| Google DeepMind: The Podcast | Research and science | Interviews with researchers on AI’s effects on science and society. |
| People of AI | Builders and developers | A season focused on the people shaping AI by building systems and products. |
| NVIDIA’s The AI Podcast | Applied AI and industry | Dated conversations about AI applications across sectors; published by NVIDIA. |
| AI Inside | Weekly news and interviews | A news-led show hosted by journalist Jason Howell and media scholar Jeff Jarvis. |
These descriptions reflect official show pages and archives for the 2025 selection, except AI Inside’s format, which is described on its Apple Podcasts listing. Catalogs and platform access may vary by country.
Google DeepMind: The Podcast for research and science
Professor Hannah Fry hosts conversations with researchers about AI’s impact on science and society. The official 2025 archive ranges across reinforcement learning and the limits of human data, AI and health, philosophy and reasoning, robotics, drug discovery, nature, and cybersecurity. That breadth makes it a strong choice for listeners who want substantive, topic-led interviews rather than a daily headline rundown.
The publisher lists listening options including YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and iHeartRadio. Availability may differ by platform and location.

People of AI for stories from builders
Google Developers announced Season 5 on July 24, 2025, with a focus on developers, startups, founders, and others shaping AI by building it. Its first episode announcement features Clement Farabet, Google DeepMind’s VP of Research, discussing the evolution from convolutional neural networks to transformers and large language models, as well as agentic systems and responsible development.
Choose this show if you are curious about how AI systems and products are made and the people doing that work. The season’s stated focus is especially relevant to builders, but the publisher’s framing is not a neutral survey of every perspective in AI.

NVIDIA’s The AI Podcast for industry applications
NVIDIA’s 2025 archive includes conversations about AI in factories, payments, financial services, drug discovery, robotics, enterprise AI agents, computer vision, utilities, and cloud infrastructure. Its strength is the range of deployment examples: listeners can explore how AI is being applied across different industries.
NVIDIA produces the show, so treat it as a company-published perspective on AI applications rather than a neutral overview of the whole field. That context does not by itself establish that an individual episode is inaccurate; it helps listeners understand the publisher’s standpoint.

Choose by listening goal, not by a universal ranking
- For research and science: Start with Google DeepMind: The Podcast for researcher interviews across varied topics.
- For how AI gets built: Try People of AI, whose fifth season was explicitly oriented toward builders.
- For real-world applications: Browse NVIDIA’s archive for conversations about deployments in specific industries, keeping its corporate publisher perspective in mind.
- For regular developments: Choose AI Inside for a weekly, news-led format with interviews.
Interview and archive-based shows are useful when you want to follow a topic at your own pace; a weekly news show is a better fit if you want recurring updates. The recommendation criteria here are purpose, format, and publisher perspective—not an independently verified ranking of every AI podcast.
