In a Steam storefront snapshot captured roughly two weeks before October 9, 2026, several Rockstar games were marked down, including the three Grand Theft Auto: The Definitive Edition titles at 67% off. The offers were specific to the listings and capture; they do not establish a sale across every platform or country, and prices may have changed since.

Steam prices captured for selected Rockstar games

The table records the prices displayed on Steam’s US-English Rockstar publisher page in a snapshot taken roughly two weeks before October 9, 2026. The percentage reductions are calculated from each listing’s displayed original price. No sale end dates were stated in the captured information, so check the live listing before buying.

These are US-dollar prices from Steam’s US-English publisher listing, not a guarantee of current availability or pricing elsewhere. Check the Steam Rockstar publisher page for the live listing, sale status, edition details, and any end date.

How Steam compares with Rockstar’s own catalog

Rockstar’s catalog displayed these publisher-store prices, which provide a comparison point rather than proof of the lowest price available. The catalog prices are not necessarily a live match for the Steam snapshot above.

For a live check, consult Rockstar’s game catalog. Compare the precise product and edition: the trilogy bundle and its individual Definitive Edition games are different listings, as are GTA V Enhanced and the console versions of GTA V.

Check platform and edition before checkout

A displayed price is meaningful only for the specific storefront, platform, region, and edition shown. For example, the US PlayStation Store lists GTA V as a digital PS4 and PS5 product at $39.99. That is separate from the Steam GTA V Enhanced listing, which appeared at $29.99 in the Steam snapshot. Neither price proves what another platform or country charges.

The PlayStation Store page also showed a separate 50% offer for standalone GTA Online content ending September 24, 2026. That offer has expired as of October 9, 2026, and should not be treated as current. The current listing can be checked at the US PlayStation Store GTA V page.

• Confirm whether the listing is a full game, online-only product, bundle, or edition upgrade.
• Check the platform and supported console or PC version; similarly named listings may not be interchangeable.
• Verify the checkout currency, current price, and sale end date on the storefront where you will purchase.

GTA+ can discount only eligible catalog games

Rockstar Support says GTA+ members receive a 20% discount on digital purchases of games in the rotating GTA+ catalog, only while a game is included. The discount applies only on the platform where the membership was purchased and cannot be combined with other discounts. Membership therefore does not establish a blanket 20% price reduction on every Rockstar game. See Rockstar Support’s GTA+ purchase-discount terms, updated December 2, 2025.

Why GTA VI is part of the timing

Take-Two announced GTA VI for November 19, 2026, with a $79.99 standard edition and a $99.99 Ultimate Edition. That release date explains the “ahead of GTA 6” framing, but it does not mean GTA VI itself is discounted. Rockstar Support lists the PlayStation Store, Xbox Store, and Rockstar Store as pre-order channels, with select retailers or third-party storefronts potentially available depending on country. Rockstar also says the physical version contains a download code and no disc. Details are in Take-Two’s June 24, 2026 announcement and Rockstar Support’s pre-order information, updated June 26, 2026.

What the discounts do—and do not—say about the series

Take-Two reported more than 470 million units sold-in worldwide for the Grand Theft Auto series. That is a publisher-reported total for the franchise, not sales of GTA V alone. The Steam price snapshot is similarly narrow: it identifies markdowns on selected listings at a specific storefront and time, not a universal Rockstar sale or a current price guarantee.
