Hayley Miller was scheduled to play her 100th AFLW match in Fremantle’s Round 8 Western Derby against West Coast, a milestone that would make her the first Dockers player to reach the mark and the competition’s 11th. The milestone had not yet been played at the time of the AFL’s pre-match report, so a completed appearance or match result is not established.
Why Miller’s 100-game milestone matters
Miller’s scheduled milestone reflects a long connection with Fremantle. The club recruited her with its first draft selection, and she is an original Dockers AFLW player, former captain and Fremantle’s games-record holder. The club profile also lists her as an All-Australian and the winner of Fremantle’s 2022 (S6) best and fairest award. Fremantle’s Hayley Miller profile
Reaching 100 games would also place Miller among a small group in the league’s history: the AFL described her as set to become the 11th AFLW player to reach 100 matches. AFL pre-match report

Miller said the milestone once felt remote, when early AFLW seasons were only about seven games long. “It’s pretty significant,” she said, reflecting on how far the competition and her own career had come. She also described Fremantle as “a pretty special place for me,” after 11 seasons and 10 years at the club. AFL report with Miller’s comments

Her recollection captures a major change in the league’s working environment: players in the early years often held full-time jobs and trained into the evening, whereas the competition has since moved toward a more professional setting. The pride in the occasion is best understood through that contrast and Miller’s long association with Fremantle, rather than as a verified direct quotation using the words “full of pride.”
Miller’s latest Fremantle scoring record
In Round 7 against Adelaide, Miller scored to reach 42 career goals and pass former Docker Gemma Houghton as Fremantle’s all-time leading AFLW goalkicker, according to the AFL. That scoring record is separate from her club games record and the league-wide 100-game milestone. AFL report on the goals record

The AFL’s preview placed the milestone in the Round 8 Western Derby against West Coast at Sullivan Logistics Stadium in Leederville. The same preview said Fremantle entered after a 25-point win over Adelaide, while West Coast had won consecutive road games against Essendon and St Kilda. Fremantle had won its previous eight AFLW Derbies, according to that pre-match account; these details describe the build-up, not the result of the scheduled milestone match. AFL Western Derby preview
