Thali is an Intelligence-type Mauler mage who deals continuous damage by spending her own health and entering a temporary frenzy. Protect her while she sets up: her damage, haste, and control improve during frenzy, but she becomes briefly unable to move or attack when it ends. BlueStacks recommends backline placement and 9/9 Heart of Fire furniture, whose fatal-damage protection is only a temporary delay—not immunity.
Who is Thali in AFK Arena?
Thali is an Ascended Mauler Mage focused on continuous damage. BlueStacks describes her as an Intelligence-type DPS mage. Her kit combines area damage and control with health-sacrifice mechanics, so she can be potent while also needing protection from early burst damage.

The skill values below are in-game mechanics reported by the BlueStacks Thali guide and the AFK Global character reference; they are not independent test results.
What do Thali’s skills do?
Pyromaniac: enter frenzy
Thali enters frenzy for a base duration of 12 seconds. While it lasts, her Attack Rating rises by 30% and her Haste by 45, while Energy recovery falls by 40%. The skill has stronger effects at later levels. When frenzy ends, Thali is briefly exhausted and cannot move or attack. She cannot activate her ultimate again while already in frenzy.

Fire Rapture: trade health for area damage
Thali sacrifices 15% of her current health to deal area damage, with additional damage based on the health sacrificed. The guide lists 220% base damage, rising to 280% during frenzy; later skill upgrades strengthen it further.
Flame Burst: fireballs with frenzy control
Thali fires three fireballs in succession. During frenzy, they also knock enemies back and stun them for three seconds, giving the skill a control function as well as damage.
Pyromancy: start-of-battle defense
At the start of battle, Thali sacrifices 35% of her current health to gain Damage Reduction and Life Leech based on her current health. The effect grows stronger at lower health and reaches its strongest state below 40%. At the specified upgrade, its effect during frenzy no longer depends on her current-health proportion.
Is 9/9 Heart of Fire furniture worth investing in?
BlueStacks recommends Heart of Fire at 9/9. Its described effect lets Thali remain at minimum health and postpone death if she takes fatal damage during frenzy. Once that protection triggers, her health stops changing; she dies when frenzy ends. Treat it as a limited survival window, not unconditional protection. Thali must first survive long enough to enter frenzy.
The AFK Global reference also lists a 3/9 furniture bonus: when Thali enters frenzy, non-summoned allies gain 20% Attack Rating and 20 Haste for seven seconds.

The reference lists her Signature Item, Red Almandine, and Engraving effects, but the available guides do not establish a complete, current priority comparison across Signature Item, furniture, and Engraving. Avoid treating the furniture recommendation as a full investment order.
Where should you place Thali?
BlueStacks advises keeping Thali in the backline because several parts of her kit spend health. That gives her a better chance of surviving setup and reaching frenzy. The guide says she can be placed on the frontline if built as a semi-tank support, but that is a situational alternative rather than the default recommendation.
