Merlin is a Dimensional support hero in AFK Arena whose listed kit centers on damage reduction, healing, and protection from enemy control. BlueStacks’ June 28, 2021 guide recommends pairing him with Arthur, Ainz Ooal Gown, or Eluard and investing in his Foresight furniture ability to 9/9. Those are dated guide recommendations, not a verified ranking for the current game.
What role does Merlin fill?
BlueStacks describes Merlin, the Seer of Destiny, as a Dimensional support hero. His abilities are presented as a mix of team protection, healing, and control response, with an additional effect that can protect an ally when Merlin would otherwise take fatal damage. AFK Global, a secondary reference rather than the game’s official operator, also classifies him as an Ascended Dimensional Support hero focused on healing.

Destiny Foreseen: reduce damage and grant shields
BlueStacks says Destiny Foreseen reduces damage received by Merlin and his allies by 25% for 8 seconds. Under the guide’s stated condition—an enemy positioned symmetrically to Merlin using an Ultimate—his allies also receive runic shields equal to 180% of each ally’s maximum health for 5 seconds. The guide lists level upgrades that increase the damage-reduction value.

Which heroes did the BlueStacks guide recommend?
The guide names three possible synergies: Arthur, Ainz Ooal Gown, and Eluard. It does not establish a tested head-to-head comparison among those teams or show that any one pairing is currently optimal. Read the names as examples from a 2021 guide, not a current tier list.
Rank #3

- Themed packaging
- Arthur: one of the guide’s suggested pairings; the source does not provide a comparative performance result.
- Ainz Ooal Gown: another suggested partner, without a current-patch ranking or measured team comparison.
- Eluard: also listed as a possible synergy, again as advice rather than a demonstrated best-in-slot choice.
How much furniture investment did the guide suggest?
BlueStacks recommended building Merlin’s Foresight furniture ability to 9/9. AFK Global separately lists a 9/9 furniture effect that lets Merlin immediately use Destiny Foreseen upon entering battle. This secondary reference provides context for the recommendation, but it is not official developer confirmation, and the effect should be checked in-game if you are planning resources around current mechanics.
How was Merlin originally introduced?
BlueStacks’ 1.66 update coverage described Merlin’s release as a Dimensional hero and discussed the Bountiful Trials exchange event, followed by Soulstone availability through the Challenger Store. That is historical release-era acquisition information; it does not verify how Merlin can be obtained now.
BlueStacks’ guide also attributes this in-world line to Merlin: “Destiny always calls upon people to wait. People wait for life, they wait for death, but destiny is neither good nor evil!”
