Alaro, known as Desert’s Eye, is listed in AFK Arena as an Ascended Mauler Support hero with Agility as his attribute and Buffer as his role. His kit pairs enemy debuffs with intelligence-gathering effects that can benefit allies; a decoy also triggers area damage and a stun when destroyed.
Who is Alaro in AFK Arena?
AFK Global and a separate character guide identify Alaro as an Ascended, Agility-type Mauler Support hero whose role is Buffer. The official AFK Arena site describes the game as a fantasy RPG featuring heroes and factions. Alaro strikes an enemy with poison daggers three times, with each hit listed as dealing 230% of his Attack Rating. For the next 15 seconds, each time that enemy repeatedly uses a non-passive skill, it loses health and its Attack Rating is reduced by 12%. The Attack Rating reduction can stack up to five times.

Incognito Mode
Alaro gathers intelligence on opponents, then returns to the backline to pass it to allies. The listed effect gives allies energy when they damage marked enemies. The database says the duration and reductions to marked enemies’ crit block increase at higher skill levels; consult the skill description in your game for the exact level-specific values.
Dummy Double
At the start of battle, Alaro leaves a dummy where he began and goes incognito. While in that state, he is listed as immune to damage and control effects. When the dummy is destroyed, it deals area damage and stuns nearby enemies.
Snooping Ambush
Alaro targets the enemy with the highest Attack Rating, deals damage, and removes most of that enemy’s buffs. He then slows the target and compares Attack Rating records to determine a Haste reduction. The described target selection and conditions do not mean that he will always control a particular enemy or prevent that enemy from using skills.

What do Alaro’s upgrades add?
His listed progression effects add team sustain and evasion, reward control synergies, and provide conditional shielding or increased damage taken. These are descriptions of unlock effects, not recommendations to invest in any particular upgrade.
Mauler Warhorn signature item
The signature item is described as restoring health to nearby allies and granting them Dodge. Its effects strengthen at higher signature-item levels; higher levels also add debuffs to nearby enemies. The available description does not establish which level is worthwhile for a particular account or team.
Intelligence Analysis furniture
This furniture ability grants allied Haste when allies successfully control enemies whose intelligence Alaro has stolen. At 9/9 furniture, the ability also adds Insight.

Engraving
- E30: Adds a team shield when Dummy Double’s dummy is destroyed.
- E60: Increases damage taken by a target that has been slowed.

What is Alaro’s story?
Alaro’s story portrays him as an outcast from the Dark Forest who wants to explore the desert. After settling in Canter, he meets Skriath and sees the aftermath of tribal conflict. He joins the Mauler scouts after learning that Skriath helped evacuate residents. Belonging and prejudice recur in the story, which gives Alaro a playful, self-deprecating voice.
“I’m just a spy, do you really want to fight me?”
This is presented as Alaro’s character quote, not as a statement by a real-world expert.
