Short answer: Aecooly’s Cold Air Ultra and Ultra B are high-airflow handheld fans with a misting function—not portable air conditioners. Aecooly claims the Ultra models can cool by up to 18°F in 10 seconds, but that figure is a manufacturer claim, not an independently verified result. The smaller Cold Air is less powerful on paper, but lighter, quieter at low speed, and rated for longer low-speed fan use.
What the Aecooly Cold Air fans actually do
The Cold Air family combines a handheld fan with a water-mist system. Aecooly describes air being drawn in, mist being delivered by an air pump, and airflow carrying that mist so it can evaporate. When evaporation happens near your skin, the moving air and moisture can make you feel cooler. That is different from lowering the temperature of a room: the effect is directional and depends on conditions such as humidity, dry heat, and outdoor sun.
That distinction matters when judging Aecooly’s cooling claims. Its comparison display reports up to 18°F of cooling in 10 seconds for Cold Air Ultra and Ultra B, and up to 14.4°F in 10 seconds for Cold Air. Those are Aecooly’s published figures, not results independently reproduced in a controlled test. The figures alone do not establish how much cooler a particular person will feel in a given setting.

Aecooly lists USB-C charging across the series. It gives charging times of 2.5 hours for Ultra and Ultra B, and 3 hours for Cold Air. The company describes a bottom pull-ring and twist-lock refill design. The Ultra B FAQ says the mist can be switched off for ordinary fan use.
Which model makes the most sense?
Choose Cold Air Ultra for the strongest listed feature set
Ultra matches Ultra B’s published 25m/s airflow and 100 fan levels, while listing the largest battery and a slightly longer low-speed runtime. Its price is also the highest of the three. The higher airflow figure does not prove a particular cooling result, but on Aecooly’s specifications it is one of the two more powerful options.

Choose Ultra B if you want Ultra-level airflow for less
Ultra B has the same listed airflow, control count, dimensions, charging time, and stated cooling claim as Ultra, but costs less. Its battery is smaller and its stated low-speed runtime is shorter. It is also 4g heavier than Ultra according to the listed weights.
Choose Cold Air for lighter carry and longer low-speed fan runtime
Cold Air is the lightest model at 285g and has the lowest listed sale price. It also has the longest stated low-speed runtime, up to 20 hours, and the lowest published low-speed noise figure. In exchange, its 9.5m/s airflow and five fan levels are well below the Ultra models’ listed figures. It is the more sensible option if portability and extended fan use matter more than maximum airflow or fine-grained control.

What the misting feature means in daily use
All three models are listed for up to eight minutes of mist per refill. That makes mist an intermittent boost rather than an all-day cooling mode: expect to refill if you want to use it repeatedly. The fan can still be used without mist; Aecooly specifically confirms this for Ultra B, and the mist system is a separate function from airflow.
Mist is most likely to feel useful when airflow reaches you and the water can evaporate. In humid conditions, evaporation is less effective, so the sensation may differ from dry heat. A handheld fan also cools only the area reached by its airflow; it is not a substitute for room air conditioning.

Aecooly’s product pages establish the published specifications, prices, features, and its own cooling figures. They do not independently verify the temperature claims. No independent laboratory test, controlled humidity comparison, or third-party long-term review was found for these claims in the available evidence. Treat the cooling numbers as marketing claims rather than guaranteed outcomes, and treat published battery runtimes as low-speed maximums rather than expected results in every mode.
