Yes—CVE-2026-75650 can let an unauthenticated attacker execute code in affected Adobe Commerce and Magento Open Source stores, and Adobe says it has been exploited in the wild. Check your exact product and release against Adobe’s affected-version table, apply the matching hotfix, then rotate the encryption key and any credentials that may have been encrypted or exposed. Adobe rates the flaw CVSS 3.1 10.0 and published its security bulletin on September 7, 2026. Read Adobe Security Bulletin APSB26-146.
What CVE-2026-75650 means for a store
Adobe classifies CVE-2026-75650 as improper neutralization of special elements used in a template engine (CWE-1336). Its bulletin says authentication is not required and the impact can include arbitrary code execution. The listed CVSS 3.1 base score is 10.0, with vector CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:C/C:H/I:H/A:H. Adobe states: “Adobe is aware of CVE-2026-75650 being exploited in the wild.” Adobe’s bulletin and its September 21, 2026 support article establish the impact and exploitation notice.
The cited Adobe material does not provide exploit mechanics, forensic indicators, or a count of affected stores or confirmed compromises. Do not treat the exploitation warning as a count of victims—or as proof that a particular store has or has not been accessed.
Determine whether your installation is affected
Use the product edition and exact installed release, not just a broad version number. Adobe’s September 7 bulletin lists affected versions through the 2026-aug releases and earlier. The listed platforms are all platforms.

These ranges follow Adobe’s bulletin; its support article contains further release-specific patch mappings. Confirm the exact installed release and product edition against Adobe’s current table before selecting a hotfix. A version that looks close is not enough to identify the correct archive.
Apply the hotfix that matches your release
Adobe provides a hotfix for Adobe Commerce and Magento Open Source, with separate archives and instructions for specific release groups. Its support article says the hotfix is compatible with Adobe Commerce and Magento Open Source 2.4.4–2.4.7 and also documents mappings for 2.4.8 and 2.4.9 lines, including older patch releases. Use the article’s current version table and verification steps rather than assuming one filename works across releases.

- Identify the exact edition and release. Include the full patch-level or dated release identifier shown in your environment.
- Open Adobe’s CVE-2026-75650 support instructions. Find your exact release group in the version table and follow the corresponding hotfix and installation steps.
- Verify the patch using Adobe’s stated procedure. For Adobe Commerce on Cloud, Adobe describes checking patch status with the Quality Patches Tool. Its example command is
vendor/bin/magento-patches -n status | grep "39341|Status". Treat this as Adobe’s example; confirm current instructions and environment-specific operating steps in the support article.
Adobe’s guidance is the route to use for the release-specific fix; the reviewed Adobe material does not establish a separate alternative fix. Consult Adobe’s support article for current patch mapping and verification details.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsRotate the encryption key and exposed credentials
Applying the hotfix does not replace post-patch credential work. Adobe directs merchants to rotate the encryption key and credentials that may have been encrypted or exposed using it. Adobe warns that changing the key alone does not invalidate credentials that may already have been exposed; rotate those credentials at their respective sources. Adobe’s support article lists examples including:

Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What to do if the store may have been exposed
Adobe’s exploitation notice makes prompt remediation important, but the cited sources do not provide forensic indicators or establish a compromise in any individual store. If you suspect access, treat patching as containment rather than proof that the environment is clean: preserve relevant logs and involve your incident-response or security team to investigate. Rotate potentially exposed credentials as Adobe directs, and verify the hotfix against the exact release using Adobe’s current instructions.
