To add a YouTube or Vimeo video to a page in Hostinger AI Builder manual mode, open Add elements, place a Video element, select it, and choose Edit video. Add the video link, adjust playback options, then update the website and check the published page or preview.

Add a YouTube or Vimeo video to a page

  1. In the manual-mode editor, expand Add elements.
  2. Drag the Video element to the place you want it on the page.
  3. Select the element and choose Edit video.
  4. Enter a YouTube or Vimeo link. Adjust autoplay, loop, and Show video controls if needed. You can also apply an animation.
  5. Update the website, then inspect the video in preview or on the live site.

The native Video element accepts YouTube and Vimeo links; it is not a direct video-file uploader. See Hostinger’s manual-mode video instructions.

Choose the right video method

What you want to add Method Where it appears
YouTube or Vimeo video Native Video element with a video link As page content
Facebook video Generate iframe code with Facebook’s Code Configurator, then add it using an Embed code element As page content
Video stored on a device Hostinger’s guide describes uploading it to cloud storage, obtaining iframe code, and inserting that code in an Embed code element As page content
Video behind a section’s content Use the section video-background setting Section background; the available videos are provided Pexels options

For Facebook and cloud-storage embeds, follow the source service’s iframe workflow and Hostinger’s video guide. These embed methods differ from placing a video as a section background.

Fix common playback and display problems

Vimeo does not play on mobile

Hostinger warns that Vimeo videos may not play on mobile when Show video controls is disabled. Enable controls or autoplay in the element’s settings.

A YouTube video is unavailable

Hostinger identifies a shortened youtu.be/video-id link as one possible cause and recommends trying the format https://www.youtube-nocookie.com/embed/video-id. This is troubleshooting guidance, not a guarantee that every unavailable video can be made to play.

You want to upload a video file directly

Direct video-file uploads are not supported in manual mode, according to Hostinger’s manual-mode troubleshooting guide. Use a supported video link or the documented cloud-storage embed workflow instead.

You want your own video as a section background

Hostinger’s section-background guide says the setting supports its provided Pexels videos, not a personal video file. It describes converting a personal video to a GIF and using it as an image background as a workaround, but cautions that GIFs may affect site speed.

An embed does not appear in the editor

Use an HTTPS URL in embedded code and update the site after adding it. Hostinger notes that custom code may be active in preview or on the live site without rendering inside the editor. See its custom-code instructions.
