These motherboard names do not establish that the boards are interchangeable. The Veriton X4620G uses a B75-era LGA1155 board, while the X6620G service documentation identifies a different Q77 board kit. ECS’s B75H2-D is a separately documented retail model. Before buying a replacement, match the marking and Acer part number on the board, then verify fit, wiring, and BIOS family for the exact Veriton.
How the three motherboard names differ
The shared LGA1155 socket and B75 chipset references can make these boards look like substitutes, but they identify different systems and do not prove identical PCB layouts, connectors, or firmware. The Acer identifiers and ECS product name should be treated as separate models unless a board-level comparison confirms otherwise.
| System or board | Documented identity | What that does—and does not—establish |
|---|---|---|
| Acer Veriton X4620G, B75 configuration | Acer service material describes a B75-era LGA1155 board. An Acer Community response lists original board identifiers DB.VEA11.001 (“MAIN BD.B75.uATX”) and DB.VEA11.002 (“MAIN BD.B75.WIN8”). Acer Community (2015) | These identifiers are useful for searching and comparison; confirm the actual marking and system-specific parts information. They do not certify a generic LGA1155 board as a drop-in replacement. |
| Acer Veriton X6620G, Q77 configuration | The service-guide extract identifies the motherboard kit as DB.VE811.001 and specifies Intel Q77. Acer Veriton X6620G service guide | This is distinct from the X4620G B75 board reference. The extract does not establish that its BIOS is compatible with the B75 board. |
| ECS B75H2-D | ECS’s product page specifies the B75H2-D (V1.0) as an Intel B75 Express, Socket 1155 board. ECS B75H2-D V1.0 specifications | It is an independently specified ECS model. Its name and chipset do not show that it is physically or electrically equivalent to Acer’s B75H2-AD. |
In particular, the available documentation does not resolve whether Acer’s “B75H2-AD” name refers to the same physical implementation as ECS’s “B75H2-D.” Do not infer equivalence from the similar string. ECS also lists a B75H2-M2, which is a separate model and should not be confused with either board. ECS B75H2-M2 product page

The specifications below describe particular service-guide configurations, not every board bearing a similar model name. Check the board’s revision and system documentation before relying on them for an upgrade.

X4620G B75 board
- Processor socket and chipset: The Veriton X4620G service material describes an LGA1155 socket for Sandy Bridge and Ivy Bridge processor families, with Intel B75 for the B75 configuration. Socket fit alone does not confirm that a particular CPU will work; support depends on the board revision and BIOS.
- Memory: The guide documents four DDR3 DIMM sockets, dual-channel operation, 1.5 V unbuffered non-ECC memory, and up to 16 GB in the described configuration (up to 4 GB per socket in its table). Verify module specifications and the limit for the exact board. Acer Veriton service-guide material
- Board size: An Acer Community response reports the X4620G original board as 244 × 244 mm MicroATX. Treat that as a model-specific reference and compare it with the board and chassis in hand. Acer Community (2015)
- Storage: The service material documents SATA connections. Do not assume a port count or speed for a particular replacement without checking its own board documentation.
X6620G Q77 board
- Identity: The service-guide extract names the Intel Q77 motherboard kit DB.VE811.001 and describes an LGA1155 socket, four DDR3 slots, PCI Express slots, and SATA connections.
- Storage ports: The documented Q77 configuration lists four SATA connectors: two at 6 Gb/s and two at 3 Gb/s. This allocation belongs to that documented configuration; confirm the layout on the specific board before planning storage connections.
- Board size: The guide summary describes a MicroATX-sized board. Check the physical dimensions, mounting points, and rear I/O against the actual chassis rather than relying on the form-factor label alone.
The available service-guide extracts are historical documents, and the detailed manual material is hosted on a third-party manual site. Acer’s inspected support pages did not provide a verified current CPU list, firmware download, or spare-board inventory for these systems. Acer Support
ECS B75H2-D V1.0
ECS specifies this model as a Socket 1155, Intel B75 Express board and publishes product-specific memory, connector, and form-factor details on its official page. Those specifications apply to the ECS B75H2-D V1.0; they do not establish matching dimensions, rear I/O, front-panel wiring, or BIOS behavior in an Acer Veriton. Compare its complete specification and physical layout with the Acer board before considering it.

How to choose a replacement that fits and works
For the question “Does nybody know of an compatible upgrade mother board (still LGA 1155) which still fits in the case?”, the practical answer is to identify the original board first. A board with the right socket may still have incompatible mounting, I/O, headers, firmware, or operating-system implications.
Recommended Free Tools
- Read the board itself. Record the complete silkscreen model, revision, and any Acer FRU or part number. For an X4620G, compare against DB.VEA11.001 or DB.VEA11.002, but verify the match using the system’s serial-specific parts information rather than relying on a search result alone.
- Compare the physical layout. Check PCB width and height, screw-hole positions, rear-I/O placement, and whether the required I/O shield is included. A 244 × 244 mm MicroATX reference is not enough if the mounting or rear-panel layout differs.
- Compare every required connector. Check front-panel pins, USB and audio headers, fan headers, and main power connections. Similar-looking boards may route these differently or use a different harness.
- Confirm firmware family. Match the BIOS to the exact system and board. Acer Community advice warns that Veriton models may have different BIOS branches and cautions against cross-flashing; do not install firmware based only on a similar model name. Acer Community discussion
- Check processor and memory support. Confirm that the specific CPU is supported by that board revision and BIOS. For memory, check DDR3 type, voltage, DIMM format, capacity, and ECC requirements rather than assuming every DDR3 module is suitable.
- Plan the operating-system transition. Acer Community warns that factory-preinstalled Windows may not work with a different motherboard. Check the actual license, activation status, and recovery options before replacing the board; the outcome depends on the installation and license involved.
Acer Community has suggested asking Acer for an OEM parts quote, but that 2015 discussion is not evidence of current stock or price. Contact Acer support for the relevant country and serial number if pursuing an original part. For a used board, compare listing photographs and markings with your board, and confirm the return terms and test status with the seller before purchase.

Can a SATA SSD or more memory be part of the upgrade?
The documented X4620G configuration supports up to 16 GB of DDR3 across four slots, using 1.5 V unbuffered non-ECC DIMMs in the service-guide summary. Check the exact board and module specifications before buying memory. The service material also lists SATA storage connections, so a SATA SSD is an upgrade category to consider; verify the available port and select a SATA drive rather than an M.2/NVMe drive unless the specific board supports that interface.
If replacing the motherboard, follow the service procedure for the exact system and use electrostatic-discharge precautions. The service documentation does not call for a special branded tool.
