The Acer Swift Go 16 AI is a 16-inch touchscreen OLED laptop that weighs about 1.4 kg (3.05 lb) in the configuration CNET reviewed. The review’s headline calls it a lean, large OLED laptop for less. The lean and large parts are supported by the reviewed specifications. The “for less” part depends on a price that was listed at review time and may no longer apply. The reviewed unit was listed at $1,000, with a $700 sale price. Check the current listing before treating either figure as today’s price.
The reviewed configuration
The CNET review, syndicated on Yahoo Tech, describes a unit with an Intel Core Ultra 5 322 processor, 16GB of LPDDR5-7467 memory, a 512GB SSD, and a 16-inch 1920×1200 touch OLED display. The table below sets those reviewed values beside what Acer’s official pages say about the wider Swift Go 16 AI family. The family figures are maximums or alternative options, not the reviewed unit’s specifications.
| Detail | Reviewed unit (CNET review) | Acer family context |
|---|---|---|
| Processor | Intel Core Ultra 5 322 (CNET review) | Acer’s 2025 SFG16-74 announcement lists Series 2 Core Ultra options (Acer, 2025). The 2026 SFG16-I71 announcement lists Series 3 processors (Acer, 2026). Acer’s materials cited here do not place the Core Ultra 5 322 in a specific series. |
| Display | 16-inch 1920×1200 touch OLED | The 2025 announcement lists an OLED panel up to 2048×1280 and a 1920×1200 WUXGA panel, with 120Hz listed for the family (Acer, 2025). Whether the reviewed panel has a 120Hz refresh rate is not stated in the review result. |
| Memory and storage | 16GB LPDDR5-7467 and 512GB SSD | The 2025 family is listed with up to 32GB LPDDR5X and up to 2TB PCIe Gen 4 SSD (Acer, 2025). The 2026 family is listed with up to 32GB LPDDR5x and up to 1TB PCIe Gen 4 SSD (Acer, 2026). |
| Weight | 3.05 lb / 1.4 kg | Acer’s 2025 announcement lists 1.6 kg for the SFG16-74. That is a different figure from the reviewed unit’s weight, so use 1.4 kg for the reviewed unit only. |
| Connectivity | Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, two Thunderbolt 4 USB-C ports, two USB-A ports, HDMI 2.1 | Acer’s U.S. product page lists Wi-Fi 7, Thunderbolt 4 / USB4, HDMI 2.1, and microSD, and notes that specifications vary by model and region (Acer United States). The review’s port list does not mention a microSD slot, so confirm the card reader on your exact model. |
| Price | $1,000 as reviewed; $700 sale price (review time) | Not stated in the Acer materials cited here. |
Which Swift Go 16 AI you are looking at
The “Swift Go 16 AI” name covers more than one hardware generation. Acer’s 2025 and 2026 announcements use different model prefixes and different processor families, so a listing that uses the same product name can still describe a different machine.

- Screen: 16-inch OLED and WUXGA variants.
- Acer claims up to 16 hours of maximum web browsing battery life for this family. This is a manufacturer claim, not an independent test, and it is not necessarily the configuration CNET reviewed.

- Model prefix: SFG16-I71 and SFG16-I71T.
- Processor: Series 3 Intel Core Ultra processors.
- Memory and storage: up to 32GB LPDDR5x and up to 1TB PCIe Gen 4 SSD.

What the $1,000 and $700 prices mean
The $1,000 figure is the reviewed price, and the $700 figure is a sale price, both reported in the CNET review. Neither is a current offer. Retailer prices for laptops change often, and a sale price usually has an end date that a review does not track. Before you compare the unit with other laptops, check the price on the retailer’s page with the date shown, and confirm that the listing matches the processor, memory, storage, and display in the table above.

What the headline claims establish
Lean
The reviewed unit weighs 1.4 kg (3.05 lb). That is consistent with the headline’s “lean” description and is a specification, not a test result. Acer’s 2025 announcement lists 1.6 kg for the SFG16-74, which is heavier, so the weight depends on the exact model.
Large OLED
The screen is a 16-inch touch OLED at 1920×1200 in the reviewed unit. The size and panel type are confirmed by the review result. The panel’s brightness, color accuracy, and viewing quality are not covered in the review result available for this article, so they are not discussed here.
