There is no single “latest Acer scanner driver” for every Windows 11 PC. The correct download depends on the exact scanner or Acer device model. Look it up on Acer’s official Drivers and Manuals page; if Acer does not offer Windows 11 for that product, use Windows Update or let Windows try to install the scanner automatically.
First, identify what “Acer scanner” means
The phrase can refer to a scanner made by Acer, a scanner connected to an Acer computer, or a multifunction printer connected to an Acer PC. Those are not interchangeable: Acer’s download portal identifies Acer products, while a scanner attached to an Acer computer may need support from the scanner’s manufacturer.
- For an Acer scanner or all-in-one device, find the exact model on its label.
- For a scanner connected to an Acer computer, identify the scanner or printer model—not just the computer model.
- If you mean hardware built into an Acer computer, look up that exact computer using its product identifier.
Acer’s portal requests a serial number, SNID, or part number to identify a product; it does not provide one universal scanner driver. Acer Drivers and Manuals
Download the Windows 11 driver from Acer
- Open Acer Drivers and Manuals.
- Enter the Acer product’s serial number, SNID, or part number. If the lookup offers a model number, make sure it matches the product label.
- On the product-specific page, select Windows 11 if it is available.
- Expand Driver and download the entry that matches the product and the hardware you need.
- Install the downloaded driver, then connect or restart the scanner if the installer instructs you to do so.
Acer’s Windows 11 guidance says that if Windows 11 cannot be selected, drivers for that model are not available on Acer’s website. In that case, Acer directs users to Windows Update. Do not assume a driver listed for an older Windows version is compatible with Windows 11 unless an authoritative product source confirms it. Acer Community: Windows 11 compatibility

Try Windows 11’s built-in scanner setup
Windows often discovers and installs a local or network scanner when it is connected and powered on. For a USB scanner, connect it to the PC and turn it on. If Windows does not add it automatically:
- Open Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners.
- Select Add device.
- Choose the scanner if it appears in the device list.
For a network scanner, make sure the scanner and computer are on the same network. Microsoft’s setup guidance notes that, in most cases, setting up a scanner in Windows only requires connecting it to the Windows device. Microsoft Support: Install and use a scanner in Windows

Check that scanning works, not just printing
A multifunction printer may appear in Windows as a printer without exposing its scanner functions. In Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners, select the device and check whether Windows shows scanner settings. Then open Windows Scan, select the device and scan settings, and scan a page. Unless you choose another save location, Windows Scan saves to the PicturesScans folder in your user folder. If the scanner is missing or the driver does not work
- Recheck the model and product identifier. A driver for a similar model may not support your device.
- Use Windows Update if Acer has no Windows 11 option. This is Acer’s stated fallback. Microsoft also recommends Windows Update for printer drivers. Microsoft Support: Download and install the latest printer drivers
- For a scanner connected to an Acer PC, check the scanner maker’s model-specific support page. Microsoft recommends identifying the exact printer model before obtaining manufacturer software. Microsoft Support: Download and install the latest printer drivers
- Check the hardware vendor before installing a component driver. Acer notes that devices may contain components from different vendors; choosing the wrong vendor’s driver may not resolve the issue. Acer Community: Identify the hardware in your Acer computer
- For network scanners, verify the shared network connection. A scanner on a different network may not appear in Windows’ device list.
Is there a latest Acer scanner driver version?
Not from the title alone. No specific scanner model, driver version, release date, or Windows 11 compatibility statement can be established without identifying the product. The relevant “latest” option is the current driver listed for that exact product and operating system on Acer’s support page—or the installation route recommended by Windows Update or the scanner manufacturer when Acer does not list a Windows 11 driver.
