The Acer Nitro ED340CUR X0 pairs a 34-inch, 3440 × 1440 curved VA panel with a refresh rate of up to 200Hz over DisplayPort. Its appeal is straightforward: a wide, high-refresh gaming screen at a modest listed price in India. The compromises are just as clear: a tilt-only stand and a listed brightness of 250 cd/m². Whether it makes sense depends on your connection, desk setup, and the price and availability in your region.
What the ED340CUR X0 offers
Acer specifies a 34-inch 21:9 UWQHD panel with 3440 × 1440 resolution and a 1500R curve. It uses VA technology, a panel type often chosen for contrast and immersive viewing, though the independent review found its color accuracy less impressive than IPS alternatives. Acer lists 99% sRGB coverage; that figure is a gamut specification, not a guarantee of color accuracy for every unit.
| Specification | ED340CUR X0 |
|---|---|
| Panel and format | 34-inch curved VA, 21:9 |
| Resolution and curve | 3440 × 1440; 1500R |
| Maximum refresh rate | Up to 200Hz via DisplayPort, according to Acer |
| Brightness | 250 cd/m², according to Acer |
| Other listed display features | 1ms VRB, AMD FreeSync Premium, HDR10, 99% sRGB |
| Connections and audio | Two HDMI 2.1 ports, one DisplayPort 1.4, audio out, and two 2W speakers |
| Mounting | VESA mounting supported; Acer’s Belgium specifications list 100 × 100 mm |
These are manufacturer specifications, not a promise that every feature performs equally well in every game or setup. In particular, the 1ms figure is VRB (Visual Response Boost), not a general guarantee of typical pixel response time.

Acer advertises up to 200Hz through DisplayPort. In Varun Mirchandani’s 91mobiles review, published September 14, 2026, HDMI reached 100Hz in the reviewer’s test while DisplayPort delivered 200Hz. That is one reviewer’s observed result, not independent lab verification or a guarantee for every computer and cable.
#1 Best Overall
- Vibrant Images: The Nitro EDA340CUR 34" Curved Display with QHD (3440 x 1440) resolution offers the sharpest picture quality and provides a perfect picture with a broader view. The zero-frame design does away with the thick frames found on conventional monitors freeing up precious screen space, so you have more to look at from edge to edge.
- AMD FreeSync Premium Technology: Say “goodbye” to stuttering and tearing. With AMD FreeSync Premium, the monitor’s frames are synced with the graphics card’s frames, which eliminates screen tearing and provide the smoothest gaming experience.
- 200Hz Refresh Rate: The 200Hz refresh rate speeds up the frames per second to deliver an ultra-smooth 2D motion scene. With a rapid refresh rate of 200Hz, Acer Gaming Monitors shorten the time it takes for frame rendering, lower input lag and provide gamers an excellent in-game experience.
- Responsive!!: Up to 0.5ms GTG (Gray to Gray) response time enhanced gamers’ in-game experience. No matter the fast-moving action or any dramatic transitions will be all rendered smoothly without the annoying effects of smearing or ghosting with EDA340CUR Gaming Monitor.
- Curved Screen: The 1500R curved 21:9 display wraps you in a world of entertainment with every corner of the screen at the same distance from your eyes for a uniform viewing experience without blind spots. Tilt the screen -5 to 20 degrees for the most comfortable view.
To target 200Hz, connect a compatible graphics output to the monitor’s DisplayPort input and check that the computer can drive 3440 × 1440 at that refresh rate. The graphics card, output, cable, operating-system display settings, and monitor configuration all matter. A DisplayPort cable by itself cannot make an incompatible source output 200Hz. If you connect over HDMI, check the available refresh-rate options on your own device rather than assuming the DisplayPort maximum applies.
A 200Hz panel can make motion look smoother and provide more frequent updates than a lower-refresh display, but reaching high frame rates at 3440 × 1440 puts more demand on the graphics card than gaming at a lower resolution. FreeSync Premium is listed by Acer to support variable refresh behavior; actual compatibility depends on the source device and configuration.

- Responsive!!: Fast response time of 1ms Moving Picture Response Time. No matter if the fast-moving action or any dramatic transitions will be all rendered smoothly without the annoying effects of smearing or ghosting.
- Curved Screen: The 1500R curved 21:9 display wraps you in a world of entertainment with every corner of the screen at the same distance from your eyes for a uniform viewing experience without blind spots. Tilt the screen -5 to 20 degrees for the most comfortable view.
What a 34-inch ultrawide changes
The 21:9 format gives you more horizontal workspace than a conventional 16:9 screen at the same height. The 91mobiles reviewer found the broad display useful for side-by-side windows, browsing, and immersive games. That extra width can be useful for multitasking, while games that support ultrawide resolutions can show a wider view.
Game support is not universal: some titles may use 16:9 framing, show interface elements differently, or require settings changes. Likewise, the 1500R curve is a preference rather than an automatic benefit; consider your viewing distance and whether you like a curved screen before buying.

Brightness, HDR, and color expectations
The official brightness specification is 250 cd/m². The reviewer also called out the brightness as a limitation, so this is a better fit for a controlled room than a bright space where glare is hard to avoid. Acer lists HDR10 support, but that label alone does not establish high peak brightness or a high-impact HDR experience. At 250 cd/m², set expectations accordingly.
Acer’s 99% sRGB listing describes the claimed color gamut. It does not establish factory calibration, unit-to-unit consistency, or suitability for color-critical work. The reviewer said color accuracy left room for improvement compared with IPS displays. If accurate color is a priority, look for independent calibration measurements for this exact model before relying on it professionally.

The ZeroFrame design lets you place multiple monitors next to each other for a seamless, almost uninterrupted view.
The stand is the main ergonomic compromise
The 91mobiles reviewer reported that the supplied stand offers tilt adjustment from -5 to 20 degrees, with no height adjustment, and felt less sturdy than preferred. The reviewer put the issue plainly: “For a screen this large, some additional flexibility would have been welcome.” The review also reported no USB ports, despite the monitor’s other listed connections.

If you need to position the screen higher or want a different mounting arrangement, Acer lists VESA mounting; the Belgium specification page gives a 100 × 100 mm pattern. A compatible monitor arm can add height and positioning options, but check the exact regional unit’s weight and the arm’s supported capacity before purchasing. The included stand may be adequate if tilt adjustment is all you need.

Price and model availability depend on region
When checked on October 7, 2026, Acer India’s official store displayed ₹23,599 against an MRP of ₹27,999 and marked the listing out of stock. Those are a dated India listing and MRP, not a current universal price or evidence of a live offer elsewhere. Check the exact model code, local stock, and current price before deciding whether the feature trade-offs are worthwhile.
Be careful not to confuse the X0 with similarly named regional variants. Acer Japan’s February 24, 2026 announcement listed the ED340CUR J0 at 120Hz and the ED340CUR W0 at 240Hz; those specifications are for those variants, not the X0. Confirm that a seller’s listing and the product label say ED340CUR X0 before applying this review’s details.
Quick Recap
Who should consider it?
- Consider it if you want a 34-inch 3440 × 1440 ultrawide for games and general desktop use, can use DisplayPort for the advertised 200Hz maximum, and are comfortable with a tilt-only stand.
- Look elsewhere if you need height adjustment out of the box, regularly work in a very bright room, or depend on verified color accuracy for professional work.
- Check your setup first if you plan to game at high frame rates: confirm your graphics hardware and connection can drive 3440 × 1440 at your target refresh rate.
