To turn on an Acer monitor, connect its power cable to a working outlet, then press and hold the monitor’s power button for 2–3 seconds. The button may be on the back, bottom edge, or side. If the screen stays blank, check the power connection and input before assuming the monitor has no power.
Turn on the monitor

Connect the power cable firmly to the monitor and a working electrical outlet. If your monitor uses an external power adapter, make sure the cable is secure at both the adapter and monitor ends.

Find the power button. Acer’s general guidance places it on the back, bottom edge, or side; the exact location depends on the model. Check the model’s manual if you cannot find it.

Press and hold the power button for 2–3 seconds. Look for a power light, a brief glow from the screen, or an on-screen message. The button behavior and indicators can vary by model.

If the monitor appears powered but the screen is blank, connect it to a powered computer or other video source with a compatible cable, then select the matching input.
If the monitor stays dark
Check power at both ends
Reseat the cable at the monitor and outlet, and try a known-working outlet. If there is a separate main power switch near the power inlet, make sure it is on; not every model has one. Check the markings and your model manual rather than relying on button location alone. Acer’s guidance for a new monitor that will not power on also recommends checking the cable and outlet.

Perform a power reset
Unplug the monitor, then press and hold its power button for 15–30 seconds. Reconnect the power cable and try turning it on again. Acer’s general monitor power troubleshooting specifies holding the button for 30 seconds; its newer-monitor guidance gives a 15–30-second range.
Replace a cable or adapter only if it matches
If you can try a compatible replacement cable or adapter, verify that it fits your exact monitor model. For an adapter, match the voltage and amperage printed on the original; do not assume a generic adapter is suitable.

Contact Acer if there are no signs of power
If the monitor shows no power light, screen glow, or message after these checks, contact Acer support for further troubleshooting or warranty service.
If the screen says “No Signal”
“No Signal” means the monitor is not receiving a valid video signal; it does not by itself mean the monitor is off. Confirm that the computer or other source is powered on, the video cable is secure at both ends and connected to the correct ports, and the monitor’s selected input matches that cable. If possible, test another cable or video output. Acer explains this message in its No Signal troubleshooting guide.

Find the power control in your model’s documentation
Button placement and controls vary across Acer monitors. Use the manual or quick-start guide for the exact model if the general locations above do not match yours. For example, Acer’s KA270HK user manual and B247YD quick-start guide apply to those specific models, not every Acer display.
