Acer’s 13-in-1 USB-C dock can add video outputs, USB ports, Ethernet, a card reader and audio to a laptop that lacks them. Two different product descriptions circulate under that name, though, and the “under $100” claim rests on a single storefront price rather than an Acer price. The official Acer model is HP.DSCAB.015. Whether the dock works with your laptop depends on that laptop’s USB-C video support and display limits, not on whether the port is USB-C.
Which Acer 13-in-1 dock is the official model?
Acer’s UK store lists the product as the Acer USB Type-C 13 in 1 Docking Stand, model HP.DSCAB.015 (Acer UK store listing). Acer’s Czech product page calls the same model the 13-in-1 Type-C Minidock and publishes its full specification (Acer Czech Republic product page). The specifications are regional product-page details, so confirm the model number on any retailer listing before relying on them.
A separate storefront sells a product titled “Acer 13-in-1 USB-C Docking Station” with a different port mix (storefront listing). It is not established that this storefront is an authorized Acer channel, or that its product is the same SKU as HP.DSCAB.015.

How the official model differs from the separate listing
The two descriptions overlap on Ethernet, card reading, and 100W power delivery, but they diverge on video. The table shows what each source states. “Not stated” means the source does not give that detail.

If you need three HDMI screens, only the separate listing describes that configuration. If you need a DisplayPort or VGA connection, the official model is the one that lists them.

Is it really under $100?
The only price in the sources is the $63.99 sale price on the separate storefront, recorded at the time of review. The Acer pages consulted do not state a price, so there is no official Acer figure to compare it against. Storefront prices change, and a sale price is not a lasting product price. Before you rely on the under-$100 figure, check the live price on the seller’s page, confirm the model number matches HP.DSCAB.015 if you want the official specification, and check whether the seller is Acer or an authorized retailer.
Will it work with your laptop?
A USB-C connector alone does not guarantee that a laptop can send video through the dock. Work through these checks before you buy:

- Confirm video output over USB-C. Find your laptop’s USB-C specification in the manufacturer’s documentation and look for DisplayPort Alt Mode or Thunderbolt video support. The storefront listing states that DisplayPort Alt Mode is required, and a USB-C port without video output cannot drive the dock’s screens.
- Check the display limit. Confirm how many external displays the laptop supports and at what resolutions. Acer’s comparison page for another dock warns that the computer can limit the number of supported displays, and the same constraint applies here.
- Match outputs to your monitors. The official model offers two HDMI, one DisplayPort and one VGA output. Make sure at least one output matches each monitor’s input.
- Check charging separately. The 100W figure describes the dock’s power-delivery input. The sources do not establish how much power reaches the laptop in every setup, or whether a power adapter is included, so read the full listing and your laptop’s charging requirements.
- Confirm the model. Make sure the listing’s model number and port description match the configuration you want.
Once connected, Windows users can open Settings > System > Display to see every screen the laptop detects. On macOS, use System Settings > Displays. If a screen is missing, the laptop’s video output or display limit is the first thing to check.
