The ACEMAGIC Kron Mini K1 is a compact mini PC with a smart-looking design, but whether it is worth buying depends on the exact configuration and price. ITPro’s April 24, 2026 review tested an Intel Core i5-12600H model and judged it dated and poor value at its cited UK price; the manufacturer also sells K1 variants with different AMD processors and memory. Check the SKU before comparing specifications or deciding whether the deal makes sense.
What did ITPro review?
ITPro reviewed an Intel-based K1 with an Intel Core i5-12600H, 16GB of DDR4 memory, integrated Intel UHD Graphics, and a 512GB SSD. Its review, published April 24, 2026, describes the processor as dated relative to newer alternatives and concludes that the machine’s compact looks do not make up for its value concerns. Read ITPro’s review.
The K1 name also covers AMD configurations, so the Intel review should not be treated as a review of every K1 SKU. ACEMAGIC’s product page lists Ryzen 5 7430U, Ryzen 5 7530U, Ryzen 7 7730U, and Ryzen 7 5825U variants. Confirm the processor and memory in the listing you are considering; specifications can differ between configurations. Check ACEMAGIC’s product specifications.

|---|---|---|---|---|
| Intel model reviewed by ITPro | Intel Core i5-12600H | 16GB DDR4 | 512GB SSD | ITPro’s April 2026 review identifies these components; it does not establish that every K1 uses them. |
| Ryzen 5 7430U listed by ACEMAGIC | AMD Ryzen 5 7430U, six cores and 12 threads | 16GB onboard LPDDR4X; not upgradeable or replaceable | 512GB M.2 SSD; ACEMAGIC lists two M.2 bays and combined capacity up to 4TB | Manufacturer specifications for this listed AMD configuration, accessed October 7, 2026. |
Those are not interchangeable systems. The Ryzen 5 7430U page describes integrated Radeon graphics, while ITPro’s Intel review identifies Intel UHD Graphics. Do not infer that the memory, storage layout, graphics, or processor performance of one version applies to another.

These are reviewers’ observations from their tested systems, not a guarantee that every configuration or unit will behave identically. Read TechRadar’s test.
TechRadar also reports that the body is plastic despite its metallic-looking finish. That may matter if you expect a metal enclosure, but it does not by itself establish how durable the mini PC is.

ITPro considered the UK price too high and said the US discount improved the proposition but still warranted comparison with newer hardware. That assessment is tied to its reviewed configuration and prices. Before buying, compare the exact K1 SKU against alternatives on:
- Processor and workload: Match the exact chip to the applications you plan to run rather than relying on the K1 name.
- Memory: Check the memory type and whether it can be replaced or upgraded; the listed Ryzen 5 7430U version has non-upgradeable onboard memory.
- Storage: Confirm the included drive and the expansion options for that SKU.
- Ports and displays: Verify the required monitor outputs and other connections on the precise configuration.
- Noise and support: Consider the reported fan noise under load, and check the warranty and return terms that apply in your country.
- Current local price: Compare prices for like-for-like configurations, not a discounted AMD listing against the Intel model reviewed by ITPro.
