The ACEMAGIC K5 is a compact Windows 11 Pro mini PC built around Intel’s Core 5 320, but its appeal depends on the configuration and price: its 16GB of memory is soldered, and the storage-slot descriptions differ between ACEMAGIC’s product pages and TechRadar’s reviewed sample. This guide covers the US-listed Core 5 320 model and separates manufacturer specifications from TechRadar’s test results; it does not claim independent first-person testing.
Which ACEMAGIC K5 is this?
This article focuses on the US-listed configuration with an Intel Core 5 320 processor, 16GB of LPDDR5 memory and a 512GB SSD. ACEMAGIC’s EU listing also offers a lower Core 3 304 configuration, so check the processor and memory on the product page before comparing prices or performance.
ACEMAGIC lists the K5 at 128 × 128 × 41.3 mm and says it ships with Windows 11 Pro. The US product listing describes the Core 5 320 as a six-core, six-thread chip with two performance cores and four low-power efficient cores, with turbo speeds up to 4.6GHz. Integrated Intel Graphics has two Xe cores. Those are manufacturer specifications, not independent measurements.

TechRadar reviewer Mark Pickavance described the K5 as a mixed proposition: strong single-core capability and a notable step up from older entry-level N-series processors, but constrained by the platform’s limited PCIe lane budget, lack of USB4 and the reviewed system’s SSD performance. The benchmark figures below are TechRadar’s results, comparing its K5 sample with a Beelink ME mini using an Intel N150; they are not results from this article’s writer.
#1 Best Overall

| 3DMark test | ACEMAGIC K5 | Beelink ME mini (Intel N150) |
|---|---|---|
| Wild Life | 11,018 (TechRadar test) | 2,298 (TechRadar test) |
| Fire Strike | 3,508 (TechRadar test) | 732 (TechRadar test) |
| Time Spy | 1,693 (TechRadar test) | 293 (TechRadar test) |
These results suggest the K5 is substantially ahead of that N150 comparison system in these particular graphics benchmarks. They do not establish performance in every game or application, and the figures should not be treated as a substitute for testing the workload you care about.
Memory is not upgradeable
The listed Core 5 320 model has 16GB of LPDDR5-6400 memory onboard. ACEMAGIC specifies that it is non-upgradable, and TechRadar likewise notes the memory is soldered. Plan around 16GB for the life of the machine; a memory upgrade is not an option.
Storage expansion needs a closer check
The US listing specifies a 512GB M.2 2280 NVMe PCIe 3.0 ×4 SSD and advertises M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 ×2 expansion, with “2*M.2” and up to 4TB stated on the product page. ACEMAGIC’s EU listing describes a pre-installed drive plus two M.2 slots. TechRadar, describing its reviewed unit, reports two 2280 slots total, one occupied by the Windows drive, as well as a 2242 slot occupied by Wi-Fi. These descriptions do not clearly establish the number of free slots or the maximum usable storage in every configuration.

TechRadar measured its sample’s installed Gen3 NVMe drive at less than 1,800MB/s for both reads and writes, despite a stated drive specification of roughly twice that speed. The reviewer attributed the result to the drive using two PCIe lanes and suggested a Gen4 drive could be twice as fast, while noting the platform’s limited lane budget. That is a finding about TechRadar’s sample, not a result independently reproduced here.
If expansion matters, confirm the exact unit’s slot layout and compatibility before buying an SSD. A compatible M.2 2280 NVMe drive is the relevant type to investigate, but the available product descriptions do not settle which slots are free on every K5. The installed Windows drive and Wi-Fi module also mean a slot count alone does not tell you how much expansion is available.
Ports, displays and networking
ACEMAGIC lists HDMI 2.0, DisplayPort 1.4 and USB-C with DisplayPort Alt Mode, and advertises support for up to three 4K displays at 60Hz. The front has two USB-A ports rated at 10Gbps; the rear has four USB-A ports rated at 5Gbps. Other listed connections include a 3.5mm audio jack, DC input, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2 and 2.5GbE.

Tool-free quick-release cover: slide the latch, lift the lid, and install an extra SSD quickly—perfect for users who want a budget mini PC with room to grow.
- 🖥️ TRIPLE 4K@60Hz DISPLAYS: Triple 4K@60Hz display outputs via HDMI 2.0, DisplayPort 1.4, and Type-C. Whether you're multitasking for work, creating content, or enjoying movie night, it's built to fit the way you use it. Track charts on one screen, do research on the second, and answer emails on the third—or turn your living room TV into a 4K home theater. The Type-C port also supports data transfer and power delivery (PD output) for compatible devices.
- ❄️ COOL & QUIET: Stay cool, stay powerful. The dual air outlet design draws air from the bottom and exhausts through both sides, keeping the CPU cool for stable performance through long workdays. At 38dB or quieter, you'll hear your keyboard more than the fan—quiet enough for a bedroom, library, or living room.
- 🌐 BIG CONNECTIVITY: 2.5GbE LAN for fast NAS transfers and large file backups; WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 keep your desk cable-free. Two USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports (10Gbps) up front for easy plug-ins, plus four more USB-A ports on the back for all your peripherals—a fully connected mini desktop computer for productivity.
The USB-C port is specified for data transfer up to 20Gbps and USB Power Delivery input up to 100W. TechRadar questions the practical meaning of that power claim and reports that the computer itself cannot be powered by USB-C. If USB-C power is important to your setup, do not assume the port replaces the K5’s DC power input.

Because those regional listings conflict, neither figure should be treated as a settled universal specification.
Is the K5 good value?
TechRadar called the K5 overpriced at its launch price and said it would be recommendable for general office use at around $400. As a review-time comparison, the publication cited a GMKtec M6 Ultra listed at $459.99, with a Ryzen 5 7640HS, USB4, dual 2.5GbE, two Gen4 x4 M.2 slots and upgradeable SODIMM memory. These are historical review comparisons, not current offers or a guarantee that either system is available at those prices today.

Pickavance’s conclusion on the K5 was: “When you compare the two options, the Acemagic K5 looks like it’s been priced above what its specifications can justify.” That is the reviewer’s value judgment, rather than an objective performance measurement. For a current purchase decision, compare the price in your region against alternatives with the same memory capacity, storage, ports and upgrade options.

Who should consider the ACEMAGIC K5?
The K5 may suit someone seeking a small Windows desktop with several display outputs, 2.5GbE and a newer Core-series processor, provided the price is competitive and 16GB of fixed memory is sufficient. It is a less flexible choice for anyone who expects to upgrade RAM or needs confirmed USB4 support, and buyers counting on internal storage expansion should verify their exact unit before purchase.
When comparing mini PCs, focus on the workload-specific test results, whether memory can be upgraded, SSD speed and the number and type of usable M.2 slots, USB4 and other external connections, display and networking requirements, and the price in the same region and timeframe. Noise and thermals also matter, but the cited review evidence here does not establish a basis for comparing those traits.
