The name ACEMAGIC AM08 Pro covers two different mini PCs, so the processor matters when judging any review or product listing. ACEMAGIC’s current US listing shows a Ryzen 7 8845HS with Radeon 780M graphics, 32GB of DDR5-5600 memory and a 1TB SSD. The detailed independent reviews available cover an older Ryzen 9 6900HX model with Radeon 680M graphics, 32GB of DDR5-4800 and a 512GB SSD. Those older test results are useful context, but they are not benchmarks of the current 8845HS configuration.
Which AM08 Pro is this review about?
There are materially different AM08 Pro configurations under the same product name. ACEMAGIC’s current US product page lists the Ryzen 7 8845HS model; TechRadar and Notebookcheck reviewed a Ryzen 9 6900HX version. Their processors and integrated graphics differ, as do the listed memory speed and storage capacity.
| Configuration | Processor and graphics | Memory and storage | Evidence |
|---|---|---|---|
| Current manufacturer listing | AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS; Radeon 780M | 32GB DDR5-5600 dual-channel; 1TB M.2 PCIe 4.0 ×4 NVMe SSD | ACEMAGIC US product page: manufacturer listing |
| Older reviewed configuration | AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX; Radeon 680M | 32GB DDR5-4800 in Notebookcheck’s test; 512GB M.2 2280 NVMe SSD | Notebookcheck review |
Do not use benchmarks or noise observations from the 6900HX reviews as measured results for the 8845HS. Check the CPU, RAM and SSD on the exact listing you are considering; the AM08 Pro name alone does not identify the tested hardware.
What does the current Ryzen 7 8845HS listing include?
ACEMAGIC’s US listing advertises the 8845HS with Radeon 780M integrated graphics, 32GB DDR5-5600 RAM and a 1TB NVMe drive. It also lists Windows 11, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2. Those are manufacturer specifications for the listed configuration, not independently verified test results.

Notebookcheck described the integrated graphics as suitable for gaming “in a limited sense.” That is a more realistic expectation than treating the mini PC as a replacement for a desktop with a dedicated gaming graphics card: integrated graphics can handle some gaming, but this review does not establish high-end gaming performance or results for the newer Radeon 780M configuration.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsTechRadar’s review of the older 6900HX/Radeon 680M configuration likewise characterized performance as middle-of-the-road in its competitive context. It praised the design, connectivity, triple-display capability and access for upgrades, while finding the plastic casing less reassuring than metal alternatives. These are that reviewer’s impressions of the older variant, not conclusions from a test of the current 8845HS listing.
Is the AM08 Pro good for gaming?
The evidence supports a qualified answer for the older Ryzen 9 6900HX model: its Radeon 680M integrated graphics can support gaming to a limited extent, according to Notebookcheck, but the review does not establish it as a full gaming-PC substitute. The current Ryzen 7 listing has a different Radeon 780M GPU, and the cited independent reviews do not benchmark that configuration. If gaming performance is decisive, seek tests of the precise 8845HS model and the games and settings you care about.

How loud is the AM08 Pro under load?
Notebookcheck lists loud operation under load in Performance mode as a drawback of its Ryzen 9 6900HX test unit. The review also identifies Silent and Auto modes, but its finding does not establish noise levels for the Ryzen 7 8845HS configuration. The cited reviews provide no decibel measurements to compare the modes quantitatively.
Can you upgrade the AM08 Pro RAM and SSD?
TechRadar and Notebookcheck note upgrade access on the older 6900HX model. TechRadar’s review specification lists a maximum of 64GB RAM and 2TB storage for that configuration; those ceilings should not be assumed for the 8845HS model without confirmation. Before buying memory or an SSD, verify the exact model’s slots, supported speeds and capacity limits. The product name alone is not enough to ensure a kit or drive is compatible.
How many monitors can the AM08 Pro support?
Notebookcheck reports support for up to three simultaneous displays on its Ryzen 9 6900HX test unit, and TechRadar also credits that version with triple-display capability. ACEMAGIC’s current 8845HS listing advertises two HDMI 2.0 outputs and a USB4 Type-C output, but the product-page specifications cited here do not independently verify a three-display setup or every resolution and refresh-rate combination. Check the exact unit’s supported display arrangements before purchasing for a specific workstation layout.

What should you check before buying?
- Processor generation: Confirm whether the unit is the Ryzen 7 8845HS/Radeon 780M or Ryzen 9 6900HX/Radeon 680M configuration.
- Included memory and storage: Verify the RAM speed and SSD capacity on the selected configuration rather than relying on an older review.
- Ports and displays: Match the physical ports and supported monitor arrangement to your peripherals and screens.
- Upgrade limits: Confirm memory and storage compatibility for the exact processor version before ordering components.
- Price and availability: ACEMAGIC’s US listing showed a $499 selling price against a crossed-out $699 price, but also displayed “Sold out,” and another page rendering showed a different selected variant and price. These conflicting, changeable page states do not establish a current price or stock status. Check the exact region, CPU, RAM/SSD selection and availability on the live listing.
The manufacturer says its barebone option excludes RAM, SSD and an operating-system license; non-barebone configurations come with Windows 11 preinstalled. Confirm which option is selected before comparing prices or assuming the machine is ready to use.
Verdict
The AM08 Pro may be worth considering if its compact tower design, connectivity and configuration suit your setup, but the product name is too ambiguous to support a single performance verdict. The current manufacturer listing is for a Ryzen 7 8845HS/Radeon 780M system, while the detailed independent test evidence is for an older Ryzen 9 6900HX/Radeon 680M version. Treat those older reviews as context—not as proof of how the 8845HS model performs—and make the exact configuration your first buying check.
