The game takes place in Strangereal, the series’ fictional world. That is a feature description, not proof of how noticeable or consequential those effects feel during play. Determining whether choices produce clear changes requires playing the campaign.
Is HOUR ZERO part of the game?
Bandai Namco also made HOUR ZERO, a live-action prequel featuring Josh Holloway, Brandon Routh, and Tamlyn Tomita. What combat features are advertised?
Bandai Namco’s walkthrough promotes aerial dogfights, aircraft customization, strategic combat against massive targets, and the ability to damage colossal targets outside designated target zones. The walkthrough announcement describes these features. Those claims establish what the publisher is promoting, but not how responsive the aircraft feel, how varied missions are, or whether large-target encounters stay engaging.
Those are central questions for a PS5 review: how the control options handle, whether objectives and threats are easy to read in a fast-moving fight, and whether customization changes tactics or mainly offers cosmetic choice. The available evidence does not answer them.

Does Ace Combat 8 have multiplayer?
Yes. Bandai Namco advertises online modes with progression and rewards, alongside an Air Base virtual lobby. The publisher says the lobby can host up to 100 players; that is its stated room capacity, not a count of people online at once or evidence of an active player base. The multiplayer announcement gives the feature description and capacity claim.
The announcement alone does not establish which modes are in the released build, how matchmaking works, how progression is paced, or whether enough players are online in a particular region and at a particular time. Those points need confirmation in the live game.

Which PS5 edition should you buy?
Bandai Namco names Standard and Deluxe Editions, but the available information does not establish their current local prices or full contents.
