If an ACE COMBAT 8: WINGS OF THEVE skin is missing, first confirm that the exact edition, add-on or Ace Pass reward includes it; then check the mode and any stated unlock requirement. Campaign and ACE COMBAT ONLINE have separate progression, and the Deluxe Edition aircraft skins listed for Online become available in Campaign only after all missions are completed. If those checks do not explain the missing skin, contact support rather than relying on unverified reset or reinstall fixes.
Identify which skin and entitlement you mean
Start with the skin’s exact name and the source you believe granted it: an edition, a separately purchased add-on, an Ace Pass reward or gameplay progression. Compare that against the store listing or purchase receipt. A Deluxe Edition or pass does not necessarily include every cosmetic shown in the game.
Bandai Namco lists two aircraft skins in the Deluxe Edition Customizable Cosmetic Set: the F-4E “MOBIUS SQUADRON” and F/A-18C “TEAM ZVEZDA.” Its official game page also lists the Tasha Costume Set and Scarlet Missile Smoke in the set, identifying those two items as Online Mode content. The aircraft skins are available Online and in Campaign after completing all missions.
Store content can differ by platform. For example, Steam’s ACE COMBAT 8 DLC listing lists an F-14A playable-aircraft add-on and a separate Customizable Cosmetic Set. That listing describes Steam content; it does not establish availability or ownership on PlayStation or Xbox.

Check whether you are in Campaign or ACE COMBAT ONLINE
ACE COMBAT ONLINE has progression and save data separate from Campaign Mode, according to Bandai Namco’s multiplayer FAQ. Do not assume an unlock in one mode will appear in the other under the same conditions.
For the two Deluxe Edition aircraft skins above, the publisher specifically says Campaign availability follows completion of all missions. If you have not completed the Campaign, check Online rather than treating the skin’s absence from Campaign as proof that the entitlement failed.

Verify the reward’s unlock condition
Ace Pass rewards
Check the in-game Ace Pass for the exact reward, its tier and the level required. Bandai Namco’s Season One announcement distinguishes Free and Premium progression and says that not every Free level has a reward. Premium content includes aircraft and cosmetics; owning or using a pass voucher is not, by itself, proof that a particular skin was granted.
The Season One announcement identifies the ADFX-02 Morgan-PIXY as a Level 1 reward, but that is an aircraft reward, not a general rule for skins. Check the specific skin’s listed reward level rather than applying another item’s unlock condition.

Campaign aircraft unlocks
Bandai Namco’s official walkthrough says additional fighter jets can be unlocked using MRP earned in missions. That applies to aircraft unlocks; it does not establish MRP as the requirement for cosmetics. Look for a named requirement for the skin in question.
Confirm the platform account owns the content
Check the purchase receipt and verify that the game is running on the platform account that bought the edition, add-on or pass. A listing on one storefront does not confirm ownership on another. Steam users can check the account’s game support options through Steam Support for ACE COMBAT 8. For another platform, use that platform’s account support.

Contact support if the documented conditions are met
If your account owns the entitlement, you are checking the appropriate mode, and the stated progression condition is complete, contact the platform’s account support or Bandai Namco support. Include:
- The exact skin name and where it was supposed to come from
- Your platform and the account used to play
- Your edition, add-on or pass, with purchase proof if available
- The mode where you are looking and the relevant progression status
The official sources cited here do not specify a guaranteed repair procedure for a skin that remains missing after these checks. They therefore do not support presenting reinstalling the game, clearing a cache or resetting a license as confirmed fixes.

Is a missing skin a random reward?
No. Bandai Namco states on its official game page that ACE COMBAT 8 does not include paid loot boxes or other randomized paid rewards, and says available rewards can be viewed before purchase. A missing skin should be checked against its entitlement and unlock conditions, not assumed to be a random drop.
