AccelOps used cloud delivery and channel partners to offer enterprise monitoring and security information and event management (SIEM) as hosted or managed services. Its 2016 AccelOps Cloud announcement described three service tiers, from customer-run hosting to a fully managed option. Those are historical product details, not confirmation that the service or partner program is available today.
What “taking cloud monitoring to the channel” meant
In this context, the channel means organizations that sell, deliver, or manage technology services for other businesses: managed service providers (MSPs), internet service providers (ISPs), value-added resellers (VARs), hosting providers, system integrators, and managed security service providers (MSSPs). AccelOps’ approach was to make its monitoring and SIEM capabilities available for those providers to deliver as hosted or ongoing managed services.
That is different from claiming AccelOps invented cloud monitoring. The story is about how the company sought to distribute enterprise monitoring and security services through partners, rather than only as a product customers operated entirely themselves.
What AccelOps Cloud offered in 2016
In a February 29, 2016 announcement, AccelOps described AccelOps Cloud as a hosted SIEM offering delivered through AWS. Its three SIEMaaS tiers differed mainly in who handled operation and maintenance, and how much setup and ongoing service support customers received.
#1 Best Overall
| 2016 tier | Who handled the work | Included service, as described in the announcement |
|---|---|---|
| SIEMaaS Basic | Customer self-service | Hosted service for organizations that handled their own setup, build-out, and upkeep. |
| SIEMaaS Plus | AccelOps provided setup and configuration; the announcement does not specify all ongoing operating responsibilities. | Portal setup and configuration, alerting rules, integration with third-party ticketing, and a customized reports dashboard. |
| SIEMaaS Pro | Fully managed by AccelOps, according to the announcement. | Management of notification policies, customized rules and reports, automation, and audit/exam support. |
AccelOps’ February 29, 2016 announcement positioned the tiers as different levels of customer-versus-provider responsibility. It did not establish prices, service-level agreements, feature limits, or current product terms.
How channel partners fit
The channel model gave service providers a way to bundle monitoring or SIEM with services they already delivered, such as network, hosting, security, or compliance support. An MSP could, for example, offer monitoring as a continuing service rather than leave each customer to build and maintain the environment alone. That describes the intended model, not proof of particular partner outcomes.

A June 17, 2015 ChannelPro report on AccelOps’ channel program said resellers, system integrators, and MSSPs could deliver AccelOps as a value-added service. It reported deal registration with 90-day protection, volume-based discounts, potential second-year subscription revenue, and access to a test, demo, and training license for eligible partners. These are program details reported in 2015, not verified current terms.
What services MSPs could build around monitoring
In an interview, CEO Flint Brenton described possible MSP use cases that extended beyond watching cloud infrastructure. His list included remote monitoring and alerting, event correlation, private and hybrid cloud monitoring, uptime monitoring, managed network and hosting, security monitoring, compliance reporting, and VDI/desktop management. This was an executive’s description of potential services, not independent evidence of results or service availability. Read the MSPAlliance interview with Flint Brenton.

What the announcement does—and does not—establish
AccelOps’ CEO at the time, Tom Kelly, said in the 2016 company announcement: “Our mission has always been to help our customers make security and compliance management as effortless and as effective as possible.” The quote expresses the company’s stated aim; it is not an independent assessment of the service.
The historical materials describe a channel strategy and a three-tier hosted SIEM offer. They do not verify that AccelOps Cloud, the SIEMaaS tiers, or the partner program remain available today. A current AWS Cloud Operations Competency page lists validated partners in areas including cloud governance, financial management, monitoring and observability, compliance, and operations management, but it does not establish AccelOps’ participation or product continuity. See AWS Cloud Operations Competency partners.

AccelOps should also not be confused with Accops. The current Accops website describes workspace virtualization and access security; the historical AccelOps materials above concern cloud monitoring and SIEM. The sources do not establish that the two names refer to the same company or that one continues the other.
