Met de aangepaste equalizer kun je op ondersteunde AirPods de lage, midden- en hoge tonen naar eigen voorkeur bijstellen. Verbind de AirPods, draag ze en open op iPhone of iPad Instellingen > [naam van je AirPods] > Audio en routing > Equalizer > Aangepast. Op een Mac vind je de optie via Systeeminstellingen > [naam van je AirPods] > Audio en routing > Equalizer > Aangepast. De functie is beschikbaar op AirPods 4 of nieuwer, AirPods Pro 2 of nieuwer en AirPods Max 2, volgens Apple Support.
Welke AirPods ondersteunen de aangepaste equalizer?
Apple noemt AirPods 4 of nieuwer, AirPods Pro 2 of nieuwer en AirPods Max 2 als modellen met deze drie-bands equalizer. De ondersteuning geldt dus niet automatisch voor ieder AirPods-model. Weet je niet welk model je hebt, controleer het dan aan de hand van Apples modelinformatie voordat je de instelling zoekt: AirPods identificeren.
Zo pas je de equalizer aan op iPhone, iPad of Mac
- Draag je AirPods en verbind ze met de iPhone, iPad of Mac waarop je de instelling wilt openen.
- Open Instellingen op iPhone of iPad, of Systeeminstellingen op Mac. Tik of klik vervolgens op de naam van je AirPods.
- Open Audio en routing en kies Equalizer.
- Kies Aangepast en verstel de schuifregelaars Laag, Mid en Hoog.
- Wil je terug naar de standaardinstelling, open dan hetzelfde menu en kies Aanbevolen in plaats van Aangepast.
Apple zegt dat de aangepaste equalizerinstelling op de AirPods wordt bewaard en wordt overgenomen door andere gekoppelde apparaten. Je hoeft de schuifregelaars daarom niet op elk gekoppeld apparaat opnieuw in te stellen.

De equalizer biedt drie banden: Laag voor lage tonen, Mid voor middentonen en Hoog voor hoge tonen. Apple geeft geen universele ideale schuifstanden. Begin daarom met kleine wijzigingen, luister naar muziek of spraak die je goed kent en pas telkens één band aan. Zo kun je beter beoordelen welk verschil een instelling maakt. Wat prettig klinkt, hangt af van je voorkeur en de audio waarnaar je luistert.

Equalizer of een andere audiofunctie?
Verschillende AirPods-functies kunnen het geluid beïnvloeden, maar ze hebben niet hetzelfde doel. Kies de functie die past bij wat je wilt aanpassen.

De equalizer is dus de juiste plek als je specifiek de toonbalans wilt bijstellen. Headphone Accommodations is een aparte toegankelijkheidsfunctie; ruimtelijke audio verandert de ruimtelijke presentatie, terwijl adaptieve audio zich richt op omstandigheden en omgevingsgeluid.

De equalizeroptie ontbreekt: wat kun je controleren?
- Controleer het AirPods-model. Apple noemt AirPods 4 of nieuwer, AirPods Pro 2 of nieuwer en AirPods Max 2 als compatibel.
- Controleer de verbinding. Verbind de AirPods met je apparaat en draag ze voordat je de AirPods-instellingen opent.
- Zoek in de instellingen van de AirPods. De equalizer staat onder Audio en routing, niet onder de toegankelijkheidsinstellingen.
Interfacebenamingen kunnen veranderen wanneer Apple software of instellingen bijwerkt. Apple Support is de aangewezen bron voor actuele compatibiliteit en modelinformatie.
