On the available Geekbench 6 samples, Apple’s A19 Pro scores higher than Google’s Tensor G6 in both single-core and multi-core CPU tests. NanoReview lists averages of 3,970 and 10,558 for A19 Pro, versus 2,755 and 7,563 for Tensor G6. Those are submitted samples, not results from a controlled test of matched phones, so they do not prove that A19 Pro is faster in every task. Google’s published case for Tensor G6 centers on Pixel features and on-device AI, not a direct comparison with A19 Pro.

What the benchmark numbers show

NanoReview’s comparison lists the following Geekbench 6 CPU scores and sample counts. The figures are that page’s current averages, accessed October 7, 2026; they are not fixed specifications or a matched-device test.

Chip Single-core Multi-core Samples listed
Google Tensor G6 2,755 7,563 6
Apple A19 Pro 3,970 10,558 16

On those listed averages, A19 Pro is ahead by 44% in single-core and 40% in multi-core performance, as NanoReview reports. A single-core score is relevant to work that leans heavily on one core; multi-core performance reflects work that can use several cores. Neither number alone predicts the speed of every app, game or AI feature.

These aggregates do not identify a shared phone model, operating-system build, thermal state, workload duration or power measurement for the two chips. Treat them as a directional comparison of reported CPU samples—not as a guarantee that one retail phone will feel a precise percentage faster.

Why other benchmark scores need caution

AnTuTu

NanoReview lists AnTuTu 11 scores of 1,933,536 for Tensor G6, based on four samples, and 2,538,751 for A19 Pro, based on 23 samples. The same page explicitly warns that iOS and Android AnTuTu results are not directly comparable. These figures should not be used to claim a precise overall performance lead.

Graphics and GPU compute

The comparison page shows no Tensor G6 results in its displayed 3DMark Steel Nomad Light or Solar Bay comparisons. It also warns that the displayed Geekbench compute results use different APIs—Metal versus Vulkan/OpenCL—and are not directly comparable. That evidence does not support a reliable cross-chip GPU ranking.

What Google says Tensor G6 is designed to do

Google announced Tensor G6 on August 12, 2026, as the chip for the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro and Pixel 11 Pro XL. The company describes it as its fastest and most powerful chip to date and says it runs the latest Gemini Nano model. These are Google’s product claims, not results from a direct comparison with A19 Pro.

Google says Tensor G6 has an upgraded CPU for 25% faster web browsing and 15% quicker app launches. It also reports 50% more TPU compute and says that, paired with the latest Gemini Nano, it processes on-device AI tasks up to 3.5 times faster while using up to 3.5 times less energy. Those figures refer to Google’s stated comparisons and selected workloads; they do not establish a general AI or battery-life advantage over A19 Pro. Google also cites camera capabilities such as faster Night Sight capture, which is a feature claim rather than a general-purpose benchmark.

Where A19 Pro sits in Apple’s lineup

A19 Pro remains listed among Apple’s iPhone Pro specifications, but Apple introduced A20 Pro with the iPhone 18 Pro in September 2026. Apple describes A20 Pro as having a 6-core CPU, 7-core GPU and Dual 16-core Neural Engine. It claims up to 40% faster GPU performance and 50% more memory bandwidth than A19 Pro. Those are Apple’s generational claims about A20 Pro versus A19 Pro; they say nothing about A20 Pro versus Tensor G6.

Which chip should guide a phone purchase?

Use the Geekbench figures as one piece of evidence if CPU performance is your main concern, but choose between the phones as complete devices. A chip cannot be purchased as a standalone upgrade, and handset cooling, power limits, software, display, cameras and battery implementation all affect the experience.

  • What You Get: Anker 332 USB-C Hub (5-in-1), welcome guide, our worry-free 18-month warranty, and friendly customer service.
  • For CPU performance: the listed Geekbench 6 sample averages favor A19 Pro in both test categories, with the comparability limits described above.
  • For Pixel AI and camera features: Google’s Tensor G6 announcement explains the capabilities it intends for the Pixel 11 family. Those claims are not a direct A19 Pro comparison.
  • For graphics, long workloads or battery life: the available evidence here does not establish a matched-device winner. Look for tests that identify retail phones, software versions, workload, duration and power conditions.

A fair chip comparison would use matched retail devices and comparable tests: CPU single-core and multi-core separately; GPU tests using comparable APIs or real games; AI results tied to the same model and task; and sustained performance and energy measured under defined thermal conditions. Then compare the actual phones’ cameras, screen, battery, software support and price.
