A Lim Kim shot a bogey-free 7-under 65 to lead after round one of the 2026 LOTTE Championship presented by Hoakalei. The opening round was played Thursday, October 1, at Hoakalei Country Club in Ewa Beach, Hawaii, in rainy, breezy conditions. The tournament was scheduled to run October 1–4, so this was a first-round lead—not the final result.
Kim’s 65 set the first-round pace
Kim finished at 7 under par without a bogey. Ina Yoon and Yu Liu were one stroke back at 6-under 66. Six players—Jeeno Thitikul, Polly Mack, Michelle Zhang, Auston Kim, Maja Stark, and Chanettee Wannasaen—shot 67.
Those scores describe the leaderboard after Thursday’s opening round, as reported by the Associated Press; they are not final tournament standings. Associated Press report carried by LPGA.com.
Three closing birdies helped Kim finish at 7 under
Kim birdied the 15th, 16th, and 17th holes, then made par on the par-5 18th to complete her round. Her closing stretch came in the context of a day the Associated Press described as rainy and breezy.
#1 Best Overall
- The Strata 12-Piece Men's is designed to give you maximum performance right out of the box for more confidence from tee-to-green. The lightweight 460cc forged driver, fairway wood, hybrid, irons and putter make up a set that provides a great combination of distance, forgiveness and control, and is very easy to hit.
Kim said control and putting mattered in the conditions
After her round, Kim described the challenge: “Trajectory for control and then putting really important on this course because it is very windy. And then today rain is back and forth, back and forth, so tough conditions. But it was really good play.” That was Kim’s assessment of her own approach and the day’s conditions, not a claim that every player experienced or handled them identically.
