If you want an upright carpet cleaner designed for pet messes, BISSELL’s ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet Pro (model 3586) is a relevant option to consider. BISSELL says it is designed to tackle tough pet stains and odors, including cat urine, and lists a pet upholstery tool and an 8-foot hose. Those are manufacturer claims and specifications, not independent proof that it cleans better than competing machines.
What the BISSELL ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet Pro offers
BISSELL markets model 3586 as an upright carpet cleaner for tough pet stains and odors, explicitly including cat urine. The product page names CleanShot Pretreater with OXY and StainProtect Technology as features of the machine. These describe BISSELL’s intended use and product claims; they do not establish independently tested stain-removal results.
The same page lists a 2-in-1 Pet Upholstery Tool and an 8-foot hose for cleaning furniture, pet beds, and stairs. That makes the model worth considering if you need to address messes beyond the main carpet. Check the product listing for the exact package and included accessories before buying.

What to compare before you buy
Pet-focused branding alone does not tell you whether a machine fits your home. Compare the details below using the product page and manual for the exact model number:

- Surfaces: Confirm that the cleaner is intended for your carpet type and any upholstery, stairs, or pet beds you plan to clean.
- Tools and hose: Check which attachments are included and the hose length. A tool listed for one model is not automatically included with another in the same product family.
- Formula compatibility: Use only a formula allowed by the machine manual and labeled for that cleaner. Pet formulas are not universally compatible with every upright.
- Capacity and weight: Compare clean-water tank capacity and machine weight if fewer refills or easier handling matter to you. Verify those figures for the exact model rather than assuming they carry across similar names.
- Cleaning and upkeep: Review the manual for how to empty and rinse tanks, clean the brush area, and maintain the machine after use.
Other pet-oriented models to investigate
Hoover’s official manuals index lists the SmartWash PET Complete Automatic Carpet Cleaner, model FH53000. That establishes it as another pet-oriented upright to investigate, but the available model information here does not support a feature-by-feature or performance comparison with BISSELL’s 3586. Compare each machine’s own product page and manual before deciding.
Do not transfer specifications between BISSELL models, either. For example, BISSELL’s page for model 35799 lists a one-gallon clean tank, a pet stain tool, and a 3-inch tough stain tool, along with surfaces including carpets and rugs, low-pile carpet, stairs, pet beds, and upholstery. Those are details for model 35799; they should not be treated as specifications for model 3586.

Choose a compatible formula and follow the manual
BISSELL identifies upright-compatible formulas and lists PET PRO OXY Urine Eliminator in information associated with its ProHeat pet system. Its formula information is not a blanket compatibility guarantee for every machine. Confirm that the exact formula is approved by your cleaner’s manual and check the current label before filling the tank.
After cleaning, use the model’s support material for routine care rather than improvising. BISSELL’s support index for model 2283 includes getting-started, troubleshooting, maintenance, and belt and brush-roll guidance; make sure you select support for your actual model, since model 2283 is not the same as 3586.

Consider the ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet Pro 3586 if you want an upright marketed for cat urine and other pet messes, and its listed upholstery tool and hose suit the areas you need to clean. Treat the stain and odor language as BISSELL’s claim, then check the exact model’s current listing and manual for the specifications, package contents, and formula instructions that matter to you. The available information does not establish a winning machine in an independent comparison.
