A Game About Digging A Hole Together is a multiplayer follow-up to A Game About Digging A Hole, built around digging for resources, selling finds, upgrading tools, and going deeper in search of treasure. The main addition is online co-op: the publisher says you can dig with up to three friends. It has been announced for PC and several consoles, but Steam still lists it as unavailable with a release date to be announced.

How the sequel changes the digging formula

The new game moves the minimalist digging premise to a different plot of land, described on Steam as a beach. The core loop is to dig, collect resources, sell what you find, upgrade your equipment, and continue downward. The announcement promises more depth, terrain, tools, hidden items, and underground secrets than the original.

Its defining change is cooperative play. The publisher says up to three friends can join you, while Steam lists online co-op and cross-platform multiplayer. Steam also lists single-player. The listing does not specify which platform combinations support cross-play, so that detail remains unclear.

The publisher describes Mi’pu’mi as a Vienna-based studio and says its digging and voxel technology originated in an early version of Solarpunk. What remains unconfirmed

The available announcement and Steam listing do not establish a final release date, price, retail or boxed edition, platform-specific feature differences, or supported cross-play combinations. They also do not establish how the finished game will perform. The publisher says it rebuilt the code, but no independent performance testing is available in these sources.

For now, the practical choice is whether to follow the release on a planned platform and, if you intend to play on PC, compare your system with Steam’s listed requirements. If co-op is the reason you are interested, wait for confirmation of the platform combinations your group will be able to use.
