Buffer Community gives creators and teams one place to find and respond to comments across supported social platforms. It can make unanswered comments easier to spot, but it does not mean every comment needs a reply—or guarantee more engagement.
What is Buffer Community?
Buffer Community is Buffer’s comment-management feature: a shared workspace for viewing comments from multiple connected social accounts instead of checking each platform separately. Buffer describes it as a tool for creators, small businesses, and teams. Its current feature list names Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Threads, Bluesky, X, TikTok, Google Business Profile, YouTube, and Mastodon. Supported networks and plan terms can change, so check Buffer’s page for current availability.
How do you find and reply to comments?
- Connect your social accounts to Buffer. The accounts you want to manage need to be connected to the service.
- Open Community and check notifications. Buffer says notifications help bring comments into the workspace.
- Filter or sort the comment list. The listed options include finding unanswered comments and sorting by newest or oldest, which can help you prioritize what needs attention.
- Choose where to respond. Reply in Buffer when that option is available, or open the comment on its native platform.
The practical benefit is a more deliberate review queue: you can look for unanswered messages, work through them in a chosen order, and move to the original platform when needed.

What can help with a repeatable response routine?
Saved replies
Buffer lists saved replies as a feature. They can help with recurring questions, but personalize the wording when a comment calls for a specific or sensitive answer.

AI-generated draft replies
Buffer also lists AI-generated draft replies. Treat a draft as a starting point: review it for accuracy, tone, and context before sending it.
Comment Score
Buffer describes Comment Score as tracking response rate, speed, and consistency. Those measures can help a team monitor its process; they do not by themselves show that a reply was useful or that responding caused better reach.

Does replying to comments increase engagement?
Buffer reports that its analysis of nearly 2 million posts across six social platforms found about a 30% lift in LinkedIn engagement for posts whose authors replied, and that about 83% of LinkedIn profiles did better when replying. Buffer’s reviewed article excerpt does not state the study year or enough methodological detail to assess the result independently. Should you reply to every comment?
A single workspace can help you review comments consistently, but “every comment” is not always the right target.
