The launcher behind “This new launcher gave my Pixel the clean look I’ve always wanted” is not identified by the available sources, so it would be misleading to credit a particular app with that result. Niagara Launcher is one possible example, not a confirmed match. Pixel owners can also tidy their home screen with Google’s built-in controls without replacing the launcher.
Which launcher does the headline mean?
The headline does not name the app, and neither the exact-title search nor the broader results established a connection to Niagara Launcher. The app therefore cannot be presented as the launcher used by the headline’s author. Niagara is worth considering only as an example of a minimalist Android launcher.
Niagara’s official site describes a list-style home screen and a wave alphabet for finding apps. Those are Niagara’s own product claims, not confirmation that it produced the look described in the headline. Its official site and Google Play listing provide the app’s details.
What a launcher changes on a Pixel
A launcher controls the home-screen interface: how app icons and shortcuts are presented and how you move among them. A list-based layout, such as Niagara describes, offers a different organization style from a conventional icon grid. That change may suit someone who wants a less crowded home screen, but it is a matter of preference rather than a guaranteed improvement for every Pixel owner.
#1 Best Overall
- Attention-grabbing design meets the latest evolution of the Google Pixel Camera on the new Google Pixel 11 Pro XL; Gemini Intelligence helps manage details so you can live in the moment[1]; and the phone is available in two sizes
- Unlocked Android phone gives you the flexibility to change carriers and choose your own data plan: Works with Google Fi, Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T, and other major carriers[2]
- Stay informed without looking at your screen: When your phone is face down, Pixel HiLight gently alerts you with subtle glowing lights when your favorite contacts are calling or you’re talking with Gemini; exclusive to Google Pixel 11 Pro phones
- Magic Capture catches the moment as you live it: With just one tap, Pixel 11 Pro captures video and photos, and automatically edits, crops, and unblurs a curated collection, ready to share – and you get the memory of how it felt to be in the moment
- Two new cameras for more brilliant photos: A larger telephoto sensor captures 30% more light for clear, beautiful photos and videos, even in the dark[3]; Pixel’s longest zoom ever helps you capture details from impressive distances[4]
Changing launchers is not the only way to simplify a Pixel screen. Google documents how to add, group, or remove apps and widgets using the phone’s built-in home-screen controls. If the issue is simply too many icons or widgets, those options may be enough. See Google’s Pixel home-screen instructions.
Niagara’s free and paid options
Niagara lists a free tier and a Pro tier. When its official site was checked on October 2, 2026, it displayed Pro pricing of $24.99 per year or $74.99 for a lifetime option. These are prices displayed on that date, not a guarantee of current pricing; check the site for the latest terms before subscribing. The available sources do not establish a complete feature-by-feature comparison of the tiers.

How to choose between Pixel controls and another launcher
- Try Pixel’s built-in controls if you mainly want to remove or regroup apps, or adjust widgets, while keeping the familiar home-screen interface.
- Consider a different launcher if you want a substantially different way to organize and reach apps, such as the list-and-alphabet approach Niagara describes.
- Check the app’s current listing for compatibility and feature terms before installing or paying. The sources here do not establish a broader launcher ranking or verify every customization and widget behavior across alternatives.
