A Canadian woman’s TikTok post described an envelope addressed to the man who owned her home before he died, containing a bag of used fake nails and a note bearing the name Leah Chantelle. In follow-up coverage, Chantelle said the nails were leftovers from an old hobby that she wanted to give away. The reports did not establish how the envelope reached the house or why it was addressed to the former owner.
What was reportedly inside the envelope?
Rachel, who posts as @hickory_homestead, described opening an envelope addressed to the previous owner of her home. As quoted in coverage, she said: “Inside? A bag of fake nails. Not new fake nails. Used fake nails.” A small paper reportedly included the name Leah Chantelle and coaching information.
Rachel said her fiancé bought the house in 2008 and that the former owner had died 19 years earlier. Those details come from her post as described by news outlets; her account was not independently verified. The reporting does not provide independent confirmation of the former owner’s death or the envelope’s history.
What did the named woman say?
Attack of the Fanboy reported an explanation attributed to Chantelle, described there as an intuitive relationship coach. In an Instagram message recounted by the outlet, Chantelle said she had leftover fake nails from a previous hobby and wanted to give them away: “I have a lot of fake nails from a previous hobby, and I wanted to gift them to others.” She also said, “It wasn’t my intention to scare anyone.”

That is Chantelle’s reported explanation, not independent confirmation that she sent or delivered this particular envelope. The coverage does not establish whether she knew the addressee, knew he had died, or how the envelope was handled.
How did the envelope get there?
The cited reports leave the delivery method unresolved. BroBible described a stamp but no visible postmark, so its account could not establish whether the envelope went through the postal service or was left at the property. The reports do not identify who physically placed it, when it arrived, or why it bore the former owner’s name.

Was it a crime, a marketing stunt, or something supernatural?
Those ideas appeared as online speculation, not verified explanations. BroBible discussed the folk-magic concept of “contagious magic,” in which personal objects are associated with the people who used them, but offered no evidence that this was the sender’s intent. Follow-up reporting instead attributes a hobby-gift explanation to Chantelle. Neither the reports nor the attributed explanation resolves the envelope’s provenance, so the incident does not establish a crime, occult act, or staged promotion.
