Samsung Electronics has a reported partnership with Sapphire Electronics to manufacture, assemble and sell Samsung-branded electronics and home appliances in Pakistan. The Special Technology Zones Authority (STZA) lists Sapphire’s operational facility in Kasur, Punjab, and names TVs, refrigerators, washing machines and air conditioners as products made there. No specific retail models are identified.
What the Samsung–Sapphire partnership covers
Business Recorder reported that Sapphire Electronics announced an agreement with Samsung Electronics to manufacture, assemble and sell Samsung-branded electronic products and home appliances in Pakistan. The report was based on a company notice to the Pakistan Stock Exchange. Business Recorder’s report
The announcement describes a broad partnership scope, rather than a published list of product models or production volumes. The available evidence supports the named product categories below; it does not establish that any particular model sold in stores was made at the facility.
Where the production facility is located
The STZA facility profile lists Sapphire Electronics’ zone as operational in Kasur, Punjab. It gives the site a land area of 29.75 acres and a covered area of 486,517 square feet. Those are facility-profile measurements, not figures for Samsung-specific production capacity, investment, employment or output. STZA facility profile

Which Samsung products are named
STZA identifies four Samsung product categories at the Sapphire zone:
- Televisions
- Refrigerators
- Washing machines
- Air conditioners
The profile does not name model numbers or say whether each product is fully manufactured locally or assembled from components. Check the product’s own country-of-origin information rather than assuming that a category listing applies to every Samsung model sold in Pakistan.

Are Samsung phones part of this agreement?
The available reports do not establish that mobile phones are produced under the Sapphire appliance agreement. In February 2026, the Ministry of Industries and Production said Samsung would be invited to establish manufacturing plants under a policy framework that was still awaiting presentation for approval. In July 2026, the government reported discussions with Samsung about local mobile assembly and possible exports. These are separate policy and government-discussion reports, not confirmation of phone production at Sapphire.

Who is Sapphire Electronics?
A half-year report hosted by the Pakistan Stock Exchange describes Sapphire Electronics (Pvt.) Limited as a wholly owned subsidiary of Reliance Cotton Spinning Mills Limited. It says the company was incorporated on September 23, 2024, and is engaged in trading, manufacturing and selling electronic and electrical products. PSX-hosted company report

What the announcement does not establish
The sources document the announced partnership, the facility’s location and area, and the product categories named by STZA. They do not quantify Samsung-specific output, investment, jobs or any effect on retail prices. Nor do they identify individual models as Sapphire-made. Samsung’s September 2026 retail promotion in Pakistan is market context only and does not establish where the promoted products were produced.
