For setup, join the canvas network and open fraimic.local if the setup page does not appear; for a red blinking light after entering Wi-Fi details, recheck the password.
Start with the status light
Check the LED before changing settings: its color and pattern can indicate whether the canvas is working, charging, or reporting a connection problem. Fraimic’s FAQ and online manual define these indicators:

The setup portal does not appear
The canvas must be awake, and the phone or computer used for setup must be connected to its temporary Wi-Fi network, named Fraimic_XXX. The official manual says setup uses 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi.
- Wake the canvas.
- On your phone or computer, open Wi-Fi settings and join the network named
Fraimic_XXX. - If the local access portal does not open automatically, open a browser and enter
fraimic.local. - Follow the portal prompts to enter the credentials for your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network.
The LED blinks red after Wi-Fi credentials are submitted
Fraimic says a wrong Wi-Fi password is a likely reason the canvas does not advance after you submit credentials. Blinking red also serves more generally as an error or internet-connection failure signal.

- Reconnect your phone or computer to the
Fraimic_XXXnetwork if it has switched back to another network. - Open
fraimic.localto return to the local access portal. - Enter the Wi-Fi password again, taking care to match capitalization and any special characters.
If the portal accepts the credentials but the canvas still cannot connect, verify that the selected network is the intended 2.4 GHz network and try setup again.
The canvas has lost its Wi-Fi connection
Use the canvas’s local setup portal to load the credentials for the new or restored network:

- Wake the canvas.
- Connect the phone or computer you are using to the canvas’s
Fraimic_XXXWi-Fi network. - Open
fraimic.localif the portal does not appear on its own. - Enter the credentials for the Wi-Fi network you want the canvas to use.
The canvas will not charge or seems to take a long time
Connect a standard USB-C charger to the USB-C port on the rear of the canvas. Fraimic includes a USB-C cable in the box. Its FAQ does not specify a required charger wattage, and charging time varies with the charger’s output and the battery’s charge level. The LED blinks green while charging and turns solid green when charged.
An uploaded image has not appeared
Fraimic’s manual says an uploaded image usually appears after about 30 seconds; treat that as an approximate wait, not a guaranteed deadline. A pulsing white LED indicates processing, so allow it to finish before submitting the image again.

The FAQ lists JPG, JPEG, and PNG static images up to 35 MB as supported and says animated GIF is unsupported. If an image still does not appear, check that its file type and size meet those stated limits.
The canvas records or creates an image unexpectedly
Fraimic says its touch controls are sensitive: “The touch capacitive areas on Fraimic are super sensitive.” Accidental taps while handling the canvas can start recording, and another tap can submit a prompt.

To cancel a recording or stop an image from being uploaded or created, triple-tap the right corner of the mat. The manual says cancellation is unavailable while the canvas is refreshing. Three yellow LED blinks indicate that a recording or upload was cancelled.

Fraimic’s FAQ says a portrait image sent while the frame is horizontal will rotate to landscape orientation. A customer review on the Large Canvas product page also reports orientation and cropping concerns, but that is one customer’s account, not evidence that all images or canvases have the same problem. Check the source image’s orientation and the frame’s orientation when assessing the result.

When to contact Fraimic support
If the official setup, charging, or cancellation steps do not resolve the issue—or a touch feature remains inoperable—contact Fraimic through Discord or email support@fraimic.com. The FAQ has listed a typical response time of within one business day; check Fraimic’s current FAQ for up-to-date support details.
Customer reports on Fraimic product pages describe an initial startup problem that one owner said improved after using the rear reset button twice, and a separate touch problem that another owner said was ultimately addressed by a unit replacement. These are individual reports, not official repair instructions or evidence of how frequently faults occur. Fraimic’s FAQ and manual do not document a timed reset procedure, so do not hold the reset button for an assumed duration; ask support for guidance specific to the fault.
Other-frame fit and image orientation
Fraimic says the frame is removable and the canvas is designed to fit many other frames, but the FAQ does not provide a compatibility list or third-party frame dimensions. Verify measurements and fit before buying another frame.
