Which consoles support Just Dance 2026 Edition?
Ubisoft lists Just Dance 2026 Edition for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Choose a platform you already own, or one that suits how you want to play; the official platform listings do not establish a universal performance advantage for one console.
Nintendo Switch and Switch 2
The Switch edition is playable on Nintendo Switch 2 through backward compatibility, according to Ubisoft. Ubisoft’s listing does not describe a separate Switch 2 edition. Nintendo notes that compatibility and play experience may differ on Switch Lite, so check the listing in your region and confirm the intended control setup before buying.
PlayStation 5
The 2026 edition is listed for PS5. Sony’s product page describes the Just Dance Controller app as a way to track moves using a smartphone. For online multiplayer and other online features on PlayStation, Sony says an internet connection, Ubisoft Account, PlayStation Network account, and PlayStation Plus subscription (sold separately) are required. Those requirements apply to the online features Sony identifies, not necessarily every mode.

Xbox Series X|S
Ubisoft lists Xbox Series X|S as a platform for the 2026 edition. Check the local store listing for the specific edition and any regional availability details.
Do you need a phone to play?
No. The phone is a companion controller option for the console game, not a standalone way to run Just Dance 2026 Edition. Ubisoft describes the Just Dance Controller app and its Camera Controller mode; Camera Controller is currently single-player only. The app’s availability and requirements may vary by phone, so consult the app listing for your device.

Can you use an older console?
The official listings reviewed for the 2026 edition name Switch, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S; they do not establish support for PS4, Xbox One, Wii, or Wii U for this edition. If you own older hardware, check the store page for the exact Just Dance game year you plan to buy. Compatibility for one edition should not be assumed for another.

- Already own one of the listed consoles: Start with that console’s regional product listing for the 2026 edition.
- Want Nintendo’s Joy-Con control option: Nintendo describes Joy-Con as a console-native way to play on Switch-family hardware. Verify the precise setup supported by the listing for your console.
- Considering Switch Lite: Check Nintendo’s product information and the local game listing first, because Nintendo warns the experience or compatibility may differ.
- Want to dance without holding a Joy-Con: The smartphone app provides another tracking option, but you still need a compatible console to run the game. Camera Controller mode is single-player only.
