The resemblance is about the keys—not the software or the complete BlackBerry experience. Because the keyboard is built into a case, it also changes the phone’s size and grip.
What the Clicks keyboard case adds
Clicks makes model-specific cases with a physical keyboard attached below the iPhone’s display. Instead of typing on an on-screen keyboard, you press keys with your thumbs. That can also leave more of the display unobstructed while you type, though the case extends the phone and changes how it feels in your hand.
The current product details here concern Clicks for the iPhone 17 series. In its 9 September 2025 announcement, Clicks described contoured keys intended to make the rows easier to locate by touch, plus a backlight configurable in the Clicks app. It also lists MagSafe, USB-C passthrough charging, and a USB-C data passthrough mode intended to connect to CarPlay without removing the case. These are manufacturer-described features, not independent test results.
Clicks also says the case has raised edges around the screen and camera, corner coverage against minor drops, and an interior lining. Treat those as the company’s descriptions of its design and protection, rather than a guarantee of how the case will perform in a particular drop.

How much thinner and lighter is it?
Clicks’ launch article says the iPhone 17 design has a side enclosure 40% thinner and is 24% lighter than Clicks for iPhone 16 Pro. Those are the company’s specific comparisons; they do not establish that it is thinner or lighter than every earlier Clicks case.
Check the exact iPhone fit before choosing a case
The Clicks keyboard case is a fixed case-and-keyboard accessory, and fit depends on the iPhone model and size. The product announcement covers the iPhone 17 series, but a series name alone is not enough to confirm fit for your handset. Check the current Clicks listing for your exact iPhone model before ordering, especially if you have a Plus, Pro, or Pro Max variant. Product availability and marketplace listings can change.

Is typing on physical keys better?
That depends on what you value. Physical keys offer a tactile sensation and a familiar thumb-typing posture for people who prefer buttons. They do not, by themselves, prove that you will type faster or more accurately than on the touchscreen. A keyboard case may also add bulk and alter your grip, so the trade-off is personal rather than a universal upgrade.
A Tom’s Guide review published on 18 August 2026 tested the separate Clicks Power Keyboard, not the fixed iPhone keyboard case. That reviewer liked the keys’ tactile feel but said they typed faster on the touchscreen and criticized the accessory’s bulk and ergonomics. It is useful context about one person’s experience with that detachable product, not a speed test of the case discussed here.

How the case differs from Clicks Power Keyboard
Clicks Power Keyboard is a separate magnetic, detachable accessory. It has different compatibility and case requirements from the model-specific keyboard case, so do not assume that guidance for one product applies to the other.

The two products therefore serve different preferences: choose the case when you want the keyboard integrated with a compatible phone case, or investigate the Power Keyboard if being able to detach the keyboard matters more. Check Clicks’ current compatibility guidance for the Power Keyboard rather than relying on the case’s fit information.

Who might like the BlackBerry-like feel?
- Consider it if you enjoy physical keys, want to thumb-type on buttons, or value keeping more of the display visible while typing.
- Think carefully if a slim phone and familiar touchscreen grip matter more to you, or if you expect physical keys automatically to make you faster.
Clicks describes its iPhone 17 model as its most refined keyboard case yet in a company-authored article credited to Team Clicks. That is the company’s positioning, not an independently established ranking of keyboard cases.
