To get the Blinky Sprite in Fortnite, search for Pac-Man Ghosts at reported landmarks such as Pac-Man Island, Blinky Island, Pinky Island, and Mega Maze. Guides also report Cheat Codes and chests as possible sources. These are ways to hunt, not guaranteed Blinky drops: Epic’s notes do not confirm the landmarks or publish a Blinky drop rate. If you find the Sprite, extract it before the match ends.
Where to look for the Blinky Sprite
Current guides point to Pac-Man Ghosts and name four places to search. Treat these as reported locations rather than official, guaranteed spawn points: Epic’s v42.20 notes introduce Blinky but do not list Ghost landmarks or promise that a Ghost will drop it. [Epic’s v42.20 update notes; current guide]
- Pac-Man Island
- Blinky Island
- Pinky Island
- Mega Maze
Search the Ghosts you encounter at these locations. If one drops a Blinky Sprite, collect it and extract before the match ends.
Other reported ways to find Sprites
Guides also report Cheat Codes and chests as possible Sprite sources. They are alternate in-match opportunities, not methods with established Blinky odds.

| Route | What to expect | What is not guaranteed |
|---|---|---|
| Pac-Man Ghost landmarks | Guides report Blinky drops from Ghosts and identify the four landmarks above. | Epic does not confirm these specific locations or a guaranteed Blinky drop. |
| Cheat Codes | Epic says Rare and Epic Cheat Codes can yield Sprites of any rarity. Epic codes improve the chances of variants and higher-rarity Sprites; Legendary codes guarantee a variant Sprite. | A guaranteed variant is not necessarily Blinky. |
| Chests | Guides report chests as another possible Sprite source. | No Blinky chest probability is published. |
Epic’s v42.20 update notes describe the Cheat Code rules. The Ghost landmark and chest routes come from secondary guides; those guides do not establish comparative odds.
What the Blinky Sprite does
Blinky is a Legendary Sprite introduced in Fortnite v42.20. Its ability briefly cloaks you after you take damage. Epic’s Fortnite Battle Royale Dev Team describes it this way: “Taking damage cloaks you for a short time, making you harder to spot.” The update notes do not give a numeric duration.

Blinky variants and their effects
The current tracker lists five Blinky variants. The bonuses below are reported by that tracker; the Bounty Hunter family’s appearance and leveling rule are also stated in Epic’s update notes.
| Variant | Reported effect |
|---|---|
| Standard Blinky | Briefly cloaks you after you take damage. |
| Gold | Grants 3× bonus Sprite XP from eliminations. |
| Cheat Master | Makes Cheat Code inputs count as correct. |
| Loot Hacker | Increases the chance of items spawning from Loot Hacks. |
| Bounty Hunter | May appear after opponents are eliminated and levels up only from eliminations. Epic announced this variant family for September 24, 2026. |
The tracker reports that Blinky’s cloak duration increases with levels, but Epic’s reviewed notes do not specify level-by-level timings.

Are there known Blinky drop rates?
No verified Blinky drop rate or measured spawn statistic is published in the reviewed official notes. A guide’s speculative percentage should not be treated as a confirmed probability. The sources likewise do not provide reliable odds for comparing Ghosts, Cheat Codes, and chests, so choose a route based on where you can search rather than an assumed drop advantage.
Sprite versus the PAC-MAN Back Bling
The Blinky Sprite is a gameplay collectible. The PAC-MAN Back Bling is separate optional cosmetic content with a selectable Blinky style; owning or selecting that cosmetic does not unlock the Sprite. Epic’s shop listing showed the Back Bling at 500 V-Bucks in the reviewed listing, which may change.
