EarthLink offers home internet over fiber, wireless 5G, and satellite, but which service you can order—and what it costs—depends on your address. Its wireless page advertises plans starting at $59.95 per month, subject to additional charges and availability. The $24.95 fiber promotion shown on EarthLink’s site ended September 30, 2026, so it is not a current offer. Get an address-specific quote and verify the full rate, fees, equipment, and term before signing up.

EarthLink says it does not offer cable internet. Its plan pages direct customers to check availability by service address, so a national list of technologies or advertised rates cannot tell you which offer is orderable at your home.
What each EarthLink connection type is like
Fiber: the highest advertised speeds
EarthLink advertises fiber plans from 25 Mbps up to 5 Gbps, with examples including 100, 300, 1,000, and 5,000 Mbps. It describes fiber speeds as symmetrical, meaning upload and download rates are advertised at the same level, and says fiber plans include unlimited data. These are plan claims, not confirmation that every speed is available at every address; check the specific tier offered for your home.
EarthLink’s fiber page displays $24.95 per month, but its footnote says that introductory offer ended September 30, 2026, and applied only for the first two months before the full price. It should not be treated as a current promotion. The reviewed official pages do not establish a current standard fiber rate, installation charge, or exact post-promotion price. Ask for a written quote with the ongoing monthly price and all one-time charges.

Wireless 5G: a quoted starting rate, not a guaranteed speed
EarthLink advertises wireless 5G home internet starting at $59.95 per month, along with unlimited data, no contracts, and self-installation. The advertised starting price is subject to taxes, fees, and modem service charges; eligibility and final terms depend on the offer at your address.
EarthLink says wireless speeds are not guaranteed. Performance can depend on your device, address, available network technology, and network conditions. Its support FAQ says customers may buy additional high-speed data buckets if speeds slow, so “unlimited” should not be read as a promise that a particular speed will be maintained in every circumstance. Confirm how the specific offer handles slowdowns and any additional data purchases.

EarthLink says it leases one router per wireless service address. Its 5G FAQ says the router can connect up to 12 wireless devices, though performance may slow as devices share capacity. The FAQ’s return process gives customers 15 days to return equipment and lists a $400 non-return fee plus applicable taxes. The exact router model is not identified. Read the return instructions and deadline in your account materials when service ends.
Satellite: request the actual offer
EarthLink lists satellite as a residential option, particularly for places where other connection types may be harder to obtain. The reviewed pages do not provide a generally applicable current satellite price, speed tier, or contract detail. Ask what technology, speed, recurring price, equipment charges, and commitment terms apply at your address rather than using fiber or 5G rates as a proxy.

How much does EarthLink internet cost?
Only the wireless page supplies a current advertised starting figure in the reviewed materials: $59.95 per month, before applicable taxes, fees, and modem service charges. That is a starting price, not a guarantee that the same plan or price is available at every address. The $24.95 fiber figure is an expired introductory promotion, and the reviewed pages do not establish a current standard fiber price or universal satellite price.
EarthLink’s home page describes a 12-month price lock, while its billing FAQ describes price locks for one-year or two-year subscription terms. These statements do not establish which term applies to a particular plan or what the bill will be after the lock ends. Ask the representative to identify your plan’s commitment, price-lock period, and post-term rate in writing.

Is EarthLink available in your area?
Availability is address-specific: EarthLink may offer fiber, 5G, satellite, or no suitable plan at a particular home. Use the availability lookup on EarthLink’s home internet page or plans page with the exact service address. A general coverage claim cannot confirm that a specific plan is orderable at your location. EarthLink’s home page claims service to more than 96% of continental U.S. homes, but this is the company’s own figure, not independent address-level verification.
