How much is Koodo’s AutoPay discount?
Koodo describes AutoPay as a discount of “up to $10 per month for each subscriber on an eligible in-market rate plan.” “Up to” matters: signing up for automatic payments alone does not guarantee a discount, and the specific plan must qualify. Koodo’s eligibility and accepted payment types can depend on when you activated or last changed your plan. See Koodo’s AutoPay discount terms.

Koodo says an existing customer who changes plans moves to the current offer. The published amounts describe discounts for eligible lines, not a verified across-the-board $5 premium on every new plan without AutoPay.
Why the $5 headline may not match your plan
The discount amount is only one part of a plan’s price. Koodo’s current BYOD page describes plans with 5G speed, unlimited Canada-wide minutes, unlimited international SMS, and a choice of perk, but those general features do not establish what a particular plan costs with or without AutoPay. Before comparing prices, use the same plan and line up these details:
- The monthly price shown with and without the AutoPay credit, and whether the advertised amount already includes it.
- Whether the plan is eligible and which payment method qualifies for your account.
- Your customer or plan-change date and the discount offer Koodo assigns to you.
- Data allowance, included features, and any selected perk.
- Your province and applicable taxes.
- When the first credit would appear on your bill.
Because plan prices and promotions can change, use the live plan card and your Self Serve account rather than assuming the headline discount applies to every offer.

How to set up AutoPay and verify eligibility
- Sign in to Koodo Self Serve.
- Open My profile and choose the option to manage pre-authorized payments.
- Select an available payment method, then check your account and eligible plan details to confirm that the method qualifies for the discount. Koodo allows bill payment by chequing account, credit card, or Visa Debit/Mastercard Debit, but discount eligibility may be narrower than the payment methods available for general bill payment.
If you are considering a plan change, review the discount shown for that plan and account before confirming the switch; the change can affect both the discount amount and eligibility.
When the discount starts—and when it can end
Koodo says the credit starts on the next bill after both an eligible plan and qualifying payment setup are in place. It does not apply a partial credit to a bill that is already underway. Koodo bills recurring plan and feature charges one month in advance, according to its Service Terms, updated May 1, 2026.

The discount may stop or change if you discontinue pre-authorized payments, your card expires, or two pre-authorized payments fail. A plan change may also change the discount or make the plan ineligible. Koodo’s terms say promotional discounts and eligibility requirements may change or be removed.

For the $10 offer described for new customers from April 8, 2025, and existing customers changing plans after that date, Koodo specifies pre-authorized bank payments. Since general bill-payment options are not necessarily discount-eligible, confirm the requirement shown for your specific plan and account rather than treating any automatic payment method as qualifying.
