What Public Mobile’s reported winback offer included
MobileSyrup reported on March 18, 2026 that Public Mobile had emailed offers to some former customers. It described two discount tiers:

Who could use the reported codes
The offer was described as an email winback for some former Public Mobile customers. MobileSyrup said recipients needed to redeem it using the same phone number they had previously used with Public Mobile. The report does not establish that someone without the email can claim the offer, or that the codes remain valid now.

How to assess an offer email
- Check the exact offer in your inbox. Confirm which code and discount appear in the message addressed to you; the reported terms alone do not prove your account is eligible.
- Verify the number requirement. MobileSyrup reported that redemption required the previously used Public Mobile number. Follow the instructions in your own offer and confirm the number before starting a transfer or activation.
- Confirm the plan’s current price and eligibility. The March 2026 report does not identify which plans qualify today. Check the current plan details and offer conditions before applying a code.
- Compare the post-discount cost and service. Look at the monthly price while the discount applies, the data allowance, coverage where you live and travel, and the length of the discount. Account for the price after the temporary discount ends.
Why the March plan examples are not current comparisons
MobileSyrup’s March 18 article compared the offer with examples then listed as $30/40GB, $35/100GB, and $45/150GB 5G Canada/US/Mexico plans, and discussed competitors including Freedom Mobile, Koodo prepaid, Lucky Mobile, and Chatr Wireless. Those are publication-time examples, not verified current prices or plan details. They should not be used to decide whether the offer is competitive today without checking each carrier’s current listing.
The article judged its reported $5 offer against a Freedom plan and described the $3 option as less compelling. That was the author’s assessment of the plans and prices discussed in March 2026, not a current universal recommendation. As MobileSyrup author Jonathan Lamont put it in that report: “If you get one of these winbacks, keep an eye on your inbox for a winback offer like this.”

Are WINBACK120 and WINBACK36 still active?
Current validity as of October 4, 2026 is not established. The available report documents what MobileSyrup said on March 18, 2026, but does not confirm whether Public Mobile still accepts either code or which plans currently qualify. Treat the codes as historical reported offer details, and rely on the recipient’s current email and Public Mobile’s current terms to make a decision.
