The clearest case is Langflow CVE-2025-34291: versions through 1.6.9 were affected by a token-theft attack chain that could lead to code execution, and Singapore’s Cyber Security Agency reported active exploitation. Other critical advisories have different prerequisites and affected versions, so check each advisory against your own deployment rather than treating a project name as a vulnerability diagnosis.
What “critical” and “easily exploitable” mean
“Critical” is a severity classification, not a measure of how many installations are vulnerable or how often attackers exploit them. “Easily exploitable” needs to be assessed for each flaw: check whether an attacker must authenticate, whether the target must expose a particular endpoint or enable a transport, how much user interaction is required, and whether exploitation in the wild has been confirmed.
The documented examples below are representative high-impact findings, not an exhaustive survey of open-source AI/ML software. The available sources do not establish a prevalence rate for affected deployments.
Documented vulnerabilities and what is known
| Project and finding | Access and impact established by the cited source | Affected versions and fix | Exploitation evidence |
|---|---|---|---|
| Langflow CVE-2025-34291 | The GitHub Advisory Database describes an attack chain involving overly permissive credentialed CORS and a refresh-token cookie set to SameSite=None. A malicious webpage could obtain tokens and reach authenticated code-execution functionality. The advisory records network access, low attack complexity, no privileges required, and passive user interaction. |
GitHub lists versions <= 1.6.9 as affected and 1.7.0 as patched for this advisory. |
Singapore’s Cyber Security Agency reported active exploitation in its May 29, 2026 alert. |
| Langflow critical MCP Stdio transport advisory | Langflow’s security index lists an advisory titled “Authenticated RCE via MCP Stdio transport allows any user to execute arbitrary OS commands on the server.” The index title identifies authentication and impact; it does not establish the full deployment prerequisites. | Affected and fixed versions are not stated in the index; consult the linked project advisory. | The index lists the advisory as published September 10, 2026; it does not establish exploitation in the wild. |
| Langflow critical public flow-build endpoint advisory | The Langflow security index lists “Unauthenticated Remote Code Execution in Langflow via Public Flow Build Endpoint.” The title identifies unauthenticated RCE, but the index does not give the full technical conditions. | Affected and fixed versions are not stated in the index; consult the linked project advisory. | The index lists the advisory as published March 16, 2026; it does not establish exploitation in the wild. |
| Flowise critical advisories | The Flowise advisory index lists, among other findings, a NodeVM sandbox escape involving a Puppeteer allowlist and a CSV Agent Pyodide code-injection advisory. The index titles describe authenticated RCE and arbitrary file read for the former, and a verified root shell for the latter; further conditions should be checked in each advisory. | Fixed and affected versions are not established by the index page alone. The repository was archived on August 13, 2026. | The index lists both advisories as published July 29, 2026; the reviewed index does not establish in-the-wild exploitation. |
Why Langflow CVE-2025-34291 stands out
The GitHub advisory explains a chain, not just a single exposed code-execution endpoint. Langflow’s permissive CORS configuration allowed credentialed cross-origin requests, while the refresh-token cookie’s SameSite=None setting made it available in that cross-site context. A malicious webpage could call the refresh endpoint, obtain fresh access and refresh tokens, and then use authenticated endpoints that included code-execution functionality.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
The advisory assigns the issue a CVSS v4 score of 9.4/10. Its listed attack vector is network, attack complexity low, privileges required none, and user interaction passive. That combination makes it especially serious, but “passive” user interaction is still a condition in the advisory’s scoring: the finding is not evidence that every deployment is exploitable regardless of browser, exposure, or configuration.
Singapore’s Cyber Security Agency said the flaw affected Langflow 1.6.9 and earlier and could allow unauthenticated remote code execution and full system compromise. Its May 29, 2026 recommendation was: “Users and administrators of affected versions are advised to update to the latest version immediately.” The GitHub advisory identifies 1.7.0 as the patched version for this specific issue; that does not establish that 1.7.0 is the latest Langflow release today.

Other findings require separate checks
Langflow: critical does not mean identical prerequisites
The Langflow security index lists later critical findings with distinct descriptions, including an authenticated RCE associated with MCP Stdio transport, an unauthenticated RCE via a public flow-build endpoint, and authenticated code execution in agentic assistant validation. Their titles are useful signals, not substitutes for the full advisories: do not assume these issues share CVE-2025-34291’s affected versions, exposure conditions, or patch.
A separate Langflow issue, CVE-2026-0770, is rated High rather than Critical. Its advisory should not be conflated with CVE-2025-34291; the dedicated record is not established here.

Flowise: archived repository raises a maintenance question
The Flowise index lists critical 2026 findings, but the index page alone does not verify their affected or fixed version ranges. It also reports that the repository was archived on August 13, 2026. Operators should read the individual advisories and current project notices to determine whether a remediation is available and whether their installed version is affected. An archived repository makes it particularly important to verify maintenance and remediation status rather than presume that a fix will arrive.
How to check and respond to a deployment
- Identify what is running. Record the installed product and exact version for each Langflow or Flowise instance, including replicas and staging systems. A product name alone is not enough to match an issue.
- Compare against each official advisory. Check the affected and fixed ranges, authentication requirements, and any stated endpoint or transport conditions. Start with CVE-2025-34291, the Langflow security index, and the Flowise advisory index.
- Check exposure and configuration. Determine whether affected web endpoints are reachable by untrusted users and whether relevant transports, such as MCP Stdio, are enabled. Match the advisory’s actual prerequisites; do not infer safety solely because an instance is behind a login if the advisory says authentication is not required.
- Apply the advisory’s remediation. For CVE-2025-34291, GitHub lists 1.7.0 as patched; Singapore’s CSA advises users of affected versions to update immediately. For other findings, use the specific fixed version or mitigation in that issue’s advisory rather than borrowing a version from a different vulnerability.
- Reassess when no maintained fix is clear. For Flowise, verify project notices and available remediation because the repository is archived. If an advisory applies and a suitable fix is not available, restrict access to the vulnerable functionality or take the affected instance out of service while deciding on a supported path forward.
What the severity scores do—and do not—tell you
The 9.4/10 CVSS v4 score for CVE-2025-34291 describes severity under a scoring framework; it is not a count of affected servers or a measure of exploitation frequency. The reviewed advisory also gives CVE-2026-0770 a CVSS v4 score of 8.9/10 and rates it High. That advisory describes unauthenticated code execution through the validate endpoint, in the context of root, with low attack complexity and no user interaction. These details make it a serious issue, but its High classification is distinct from the Critical findings above.
