ONLYOFFICE Docs 8.3, announced on 6 February 2025, added practical PDF page and annotation controls, undo during live editing of PDFs and spreadsheets, spreadsheet improvements, and new presentation tools. It also added the ability to open Apple iWork and Hancom Office files, with an important limitation: editing and saving those files converts them to OOXML, and full formatting compliance is not guaranteed.
What changed in ONLYOFFICE Docs 8.3?
ONLYOFFICE described the release as adding “around 30 new features” and multiple bug fixes across the suite. That is the publisher’s approximate count, not an independently verified tally. The changes affect the PDF, Spreadsheet, Presentation, and Document Editors, as well as supported file formats.
PDF Editor: select pages, add stamps, and manage annotations
Select and rearrange or delete several pages
Docs 8.3 lets you select multiple PDF pages for rearranging or deletion. Use Ctrl to add or remove an individual page from the selection, or Shift to select a continuous range. This is the release’s most direct change for people reorganizing multi-page PDFs.
Insert stamps and adjust annotations
Use Comment > Stamp to insert a stamp in a PDF. ONLYOFFICE presents stamps as useful for documents such as contracts and agreements, but a visual stamp should not be treated as a legal signature or as proof of an approval workflow.

Hovering over an inserted annotation opens a quick panel with options to change highlight color, add a comment, or remove the annotation. You can also adjust highlight opacity.
Undo during PDF co-editing
The PDF Editor gained undo for a user’s most recent actions during real-time co-editing. ONLYOFFICE says this works without disrupting the team’s workflow; that is the vendor’s description of the behavior.

Spreadsheets: co-editing, linked data, and everyday controls
The Spreadsheet Editor also gained undo during real-time co-editing. Other additions address data entry, imported files, and workbook controls:
- External links: linked data can update automatically.
- Autofill: fill series for days, weekdays, months, and years.
- Pivot Tables: open and save calculated items.
- Function wizard: view descriptions of function arguments.
- CSV import: have the delimiter detected automatically in the opening-parameters dialog.
- Scrollbars: show or hide horizontal and vertical scrollbars.

The Presentation Editor gained a Design tab for applying styles, changing color schemes, and adjusting slide size. Users can also draw with a pen or highlighter during slideshow or presenter mode.

Apple iWork and Hancom files: opening is not the same as a lossless round trip
Docs 8.3 added support for opening Apple Pages, Keynote, and Numbers files, along with Hancom Office .hwp and .hwpx files. If you edit and save one of these files, ONLYOFFICE converts it to the corresponding OOXML format—DOCX, PPTX, or XLSX. The release announcement cautions that full formatting compliance after conversion is not guaranteed, so check the saved result before relying on it for a document that must retain precise layout or styling.

- Right-to-left support: set the default sheet direction, change paragraph direction in text documents, correctly display non-printable characters in right-to-left paragraphs, and use right-to-left interface support in the embedded viewer.
- Text documents: combine and compare content at character or word level, improve usability for protected documents, toggle field-code display, and reset image cropping.
Should you upgrade for these features?
The most relevant changes depend on the files and workflows you handle. Consider the PDF page-selection controls if you often reorganize PDFs; the spreadsheet additions if you work with linked data, recurring series, or Pivot Tables; and Merge Shapes or the Design tab if you build presentations. If your workflow depends on opening and then resaving iWork or Hancom files, test representative files and inspect the converted OOXML output because formatting fidelity is not assured.
Docs 8.3 is a release from 2025, not a claim about the current version. The official download page for ONLYOFFICE Docs Developer displayed version 9.4 entries dated 19 May and 30 June 2026. Those entries establish later versions for that edition and page, not the newest version across every Docs edition or deployment channel.
