Microsoft describes its Rewards browser extension as a shortcut for checking your points balance and opening daily offers such as trivia and polls. It also advertises up to 5 points a day for Level 1 members and up to 20 a day for Level 2 members for searching Bing in Edge on PC or mobile; those are stated maximums, not guaranteed earnings.
What the Microsoft Rewards extension does
Microsoft says the extension gives users quick access to daily offers and their points balance. Its page lists one-click access to trivia, polls, and other offers, and says users can track progress toward Rewards such as gift cards or charitable donations. Availability of specific offers and redemption options can vary; the page does not say that every user will see the same items.
Microsoft’s description is: “Get quick access to daily offers and see your points balance any time with our browser extension.” The extension is intended as a convenient entry point to Rewards, rather than a separate search engine.

These figures describe the Bing-in-Edge search activity Microsoft specifies; they should not be read as points for every search or every Rewards activity. Microsoft’s page does not establish that each member qualifies for the maximums or that identical terms apply in every market. How to add an extension in Microsoft Edge
- In Edge, select Extensions.
- Select Get Extensions for Microsoft Edge.
- Find the extension you want and select Get.
- Review the permissions requested in the prompt.
- If you are comfortable proceeding, select Add extension.
Microsoft’s Edge Add-ons route is the documented installation path. The Rewards page displayed an “Add the Extension” call to action, but a live Edge Add-ons listing for this exact extension has not been confirmed here. Check Edge’s store directly rather than relying on an assumed listing or availability in your region.

Installing from the Chrome Web Store
Edge can also use extensions designed for Chrome. For a Chrome Web Store extension, you may first need to allow extensions from other stores in Edge. You will still receive a permissions prompt; review it before adding the extension. Microsoft’s guidance is available in its instructions for adding, turning off, or removing Edge extensions.

Before installation, consider what access the extension requests and whether that access makes sense for its function. Edge’s extension controls can let you limit site access to when you click the extension, the current site, or all sites. You can also turn an extension off or remove it from Edge through the extension controls. If you cannot find the extension, confirm that the store listing is available to you and that you are using the intended store route.
