CrowdStrike Charlotte AI is a generative AI security analyst built into the Falcon cybersecurity platform. It lets security teams ask questions and work with security data in natural language, and current product materials describe prebuilt and custom agents that can support investigations and workflows. CrowdStrike says its AI draws on Falcon telemetry, threat intelligence and expertise from its security teams; that does not mean a person reviews every AI response.
What is CrowdStrike Charlotte AI?
Charlotte AI is software within CrowdStrike’s Falcon platform, not a standalone device. CrowdStrike introduced it on May 30, 2023, as a natural-language interface intended to help users investigate, hunt, detect and remediate threats. The initial announcement described a private customer preview. On February 20, 2024, CrowdStrike announced general availability. CrowdStrike’s launch announcement and its general-availability announcement document those stages.
The product’s scope has since broadened. CrowdStrike’s current Charlotte AI product page describes an agentic AI security analyst native to Falcon, with conversational AI, prebuilt agents and no-code custom agents made with AgentWorks. Listed tasks include command-line and exposure analysis, query writing, workflow generation and threat-intelligence analysis. A September 2, 2026 company announcement describes coordinated multi-agent investigations spanning endpoint, identity, SaaS, cloud and network, with agents sharing a context layer. These are CrowdStrike’s descriptions of its product, not independent assessments of its effectiveness. Read the September 2026 announcement.
How does Charlotte AI use human-validated threat data?
CrowdStrike says Charlotte AI combines Falcon security telemetry and threat intelligence with human-validated content and feedback informed by its security operations. The company identifies data from the CrowdStrike Threat Graph and telemetry associated with users, devices, identities and cloud workloads. It also names Falcon OverWatch managed threat hunting, Falcon Complete managed detection and response, CrowdStrike Services and CrowdStrike Intelligence as sources of expertise informing that content. The original announcement outlines this approach.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
“Human-validated” describes the expertise and feedback used to inform the system; it is not evidence that a human checks each generated answer. Teams should distinguish the provenance of the information used to build or inform an AI tool from the review process applied to a particular result. CrowdStrike’s product page describes controls for permissions, approval workflows and audit traces or logs, but those controls do not establish that every deployment is safe or that every answer is correct.
What can it do for a security team?
At launch, CrowdStrike positioned Charlotte AI as a way to make security insight accessible to a wider range of users, assist less-experienced analysts with threat hunting, and automate repetitive tasks for experienced staff. Current materials add agent-based support for analysis and workflows. In practice, its value depends on whether a team’s work, data and approvals fit the Falcon environment and the tasks the product supports.

Can Charlotte AI replace a SOC analyst?
Nothing in the cited product descriptions establishes that Charlotte AI replaces a security operations center (SOC) analyst. CrowdStrike presents it as an analyst tool that can help users investigate and automate work. Security teams still need people to interpret results in context, decide how to handle uncertainty and oversee consequential actions. The extent of human involvement will depend on how the organization configures the product and its processes.
Can it take response actions automatically?
CrowdStrike’s current product FAQ says automated response actions are not enabled by default. The company says teams configure them through Agentic SOAR or AgentWorks, and that actions affecting an organization require explicit configuration and approval by an authorized security team member. It also describes role-based permissions, audit traces and logs, version controls and approval workflows. These are vendor-described product controls: administrators should verify which features are available in their deployment and test permissions and approval paths before enabling actions.
