To create a simple pass yourself, open Wallet, tap the Add Card button, choose Create a Pass, then Create Pass Manually. Select a template, fill in its fields, and tap Done. If you already have a barcode image or a pass from an organization, use the image-based or issuer-provided route instead.
Choose the right way to add the pass

Create a pass manually
- Open the Wallet app on your iPhone.
- Tap the Add Card button, then tap Create a Pass.
- Tap Create Pass Manually and choose a template.
- Tap a field and enter or revise its details.
- Tap Done to add the pass to Wallet.
Apple documents this workflow in its Create passes in Wallet on iPhone guide. Button wording or placement can vary with iOS version and localization.
Edit a pass after adding it
Open the pass in Wallet, tap More, then choose Edit Pass. Apple says you can change the background and color, edit details, and add or remove fields. The available controls depend on the pass and its template.
Make a pass from a barcode or QR-code image
Apple documents an Apple Intelligence feature that can create a pass from a photo or screenshot containing a barcode or QR code. Take or select the image, tap the displayed Add to Wallet control, and follow the prompts. Apple’s current guide lists iOS 27 or later and an Apple Intelligence-enabled iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, or iPhone 16 model or later for this route. Apple Intelligence availability varies by language and region, and use limits may apply; check Apple’s current compatibility and availability information for your location and device.

This image route is not a way to make every ticket code permanent. Apple cautions that codes that change periodically or expire may not produce a usable pass: a photo of an expired concert-ticket code, for example, will not work.

Open the app, email, notification, or other communication that contains the pass, tap Add to Apple Wallet, follow the prompts, and tap Add if asked. Apple describes this process in its guides to using passes in Wallet on iPhone and adding, using, and sharing tickets and passes.

If you cannot find an Add to Apple Wallet option, ask the organization that issued the pass whether it supports Wallet. A manually created pass or an image-based pass is not a substitute for an issuer’s official version when the issuer requires its own ticket, account, or changing barcode.
