These categories answer different needs. A PTZ camera can physically pan and tilt as it tracks; a fixed-view webcam can adjust the crop without the camera body moving. Tail Air’s network and recording options are relevant when the camera is part of a production workflow, not just a typical video-call setup.
Tiny 3 and Tiny 3 Lite: motorized tracking in a webcam
OBSBOT announced Tiny 3 and Tiny 3 Lite on January 28, 2026, describing both as compact AI-powered 4K PTZ webcams. The company lists 4K at 30 fps and 1080p at 120 fps for both. Tiny 3 is specified with a 1/1.28-inch sensor; Tiny 3 Lite has a 1/2-inch sensor. These are manufacturer-published specifications, not evidence that one produces better real-world image quality in every room.
For Tiny 3, OBSBOT also lists AI Tracking 2.0, a triple MEMS microphone array, five audio profiles, and voice locator. These capabilities suggest a camera designed to follow a person and offer onboard audio options. They do not establish how reliably tracking works during fast movement, how far the microphones pick up speech, or how the sound compares with a separate microphone.

Choose the Tiny 3 line if physical camera movement is central to your calls, presentations, or solo recordings. Before buying, check a model-specific listing for which features are included in Tiny 3 Lite; the launch announcement does not state that Lite shares all of Tiny 3’s microphone and voice features.
Meet 2: simpler fixed-view auto-framing
OBSBOT announced Meet 2 on September 4, 2024. The company lists a 1/2-inch sensor, 4K at 30 fps, 4x digital zoom, AI auto-framing, dual omnidirectional microphones, and a magnetic privacy cover. Its auto-framing should not be confused with the motorized tracking described for Tiny 3: Meet 2 is a fixed-view webcam, not a gimbal-based PTZ camera.

Meet 2 is the more straightforward category to consider if you want automatic framing in a compact webcam body and do not need the camera itself to pan and tilt. The published specifications do not establish low-light quality, microphone clarity, autofocus behavior, or the smoothness of its framing adjustments.
Tail Air: networked streaming and local recording
Tail Air is the distinct option for a creator or operator who needs more than a USB webcam. OBSBOT’s FAQ says it can work as a webcam, including wirelessly with meeting software through NDI, RTSP, or virtual-camera output. It also documents Power over Ethernet (PoE), a 3.5 mm external microphone connection, and simultaneous livestreaming and SD-card recording.

Plan connections and power
Pick the connection method to match the receiving software and network you actually use. NDI and RTSP workflows depend on compatible devices and network configuration; a virtual-camera output is another documented route for meeting software. PoE may consolidate power and network cabling where compatible equipment is available. The FAQ’s feature list does not establish performance, latency, or compatibility with every app or network.
Plan audio and storage
If your production needs a dedicated microphone, Tail Air’s 3.5 mm input is relevant. For local recording, OBSBOT recommends a U3 microSD card and states that exFAT and FAT32 are supported, up to 512 GB. That capacity is the FAQ’s stated maximum, not a guarantee about recording duration; duration varies with recording settings and card use.
