To enable DLAA in a game that supports DLSS, first check NVIDIA’s current RTX games list for DLAA support. For eligible titles, NVIDIA’s official method is an NVIDIA App override: enable DLSS Super Resolution in the game, select the override in the app, apply it, and relaunch. DLSSTweaks was another configurable option described in a 2023 report, but its reported compatibility and game examples are historical—not a current compatibility guarantee.
What DLAA does—and how it differs from DLSS upscaling
Deep Learning Anti-Aliasing (DLAA) uses DLSS Super Resolution technology to construct a high-quality image at the game’s native resolution. NVIDIA describes it as an AI-based anti-aliasing technique; its purpose is image quality rather than rendering at a lower resolution to increase performance. See NVIDIA’s DLSS developer documentation.
| Mode | Output resolution | Primary purpose |
|---|---|---|
| DLAA | Native resolution | Anti-aliasing and image quality |
| DLSS Super Resolution | Reconstructs a higher-resolution output from lower-resolution input | Upscaling that can improve performance |
Whether DLAA looks sharper or more stable depends on the game, its existing anti-aliasing options, and the system. NVIDIA says its current transformer models improve stability, anti-aliasing, and visual clarity, but that is not a guarantee that every scene or title will look better. DLSSEnhancer’s project notes also describe trade-offs among image stability, ghosting, sharpness, and shimmer when choosing presets; those notes are not a controlled comparison. See DLSSEnhancer’s project documentation.

Use NVIDIA App to enable DLAA in a listed game
NVIDIA Support’s procedure, updated February 3, 2025, requires Game Ready Driver 572.16 or newer and NVIDIA App 11.0.2.312 or newer. These are the minimum versions stated on that support page; consult NVIDIA’s current instructions for any later changes.
#1 Best Overall
- AI Performance: 767 AI TOPS
- OC mode: 2632 MHz (OC mode)/ 2602 MHz (Default mode)
- Powered by the NVIDIA Blackwell architecture and DLSS 4
- Axial-tech fan design features a smaller fan hub that facilitates longer blades and a barrier ring that increases downward air pressure
- A 2.5-slot design maximizes compatibility and cooling efficiency for superior performance in small chassis
- Open the game and enable DLSS Super Resolution in its graphics settings. Then exit the game to the desktop.
- Open NVIDIA App and go to Graphics > Program settings. Select the compatible game.
- Open Driver Settings, choose DLSS Override – Super Resolution, select the desired mode, and apply the change.
- Reopen the game and check its image and performance in the scenes you play.
Check the DLAA column in NVIDIA’s RTX games list before changing settings. The list, last updated September 15, 2026, marks titles where DLAA can be activated through the NVIDIA App override even though the game does not have native DLAA support. DLSS support alone does not establish that the override is available.
What the 2023 DLSSTweaks report says
HotHardware reported on February 14, 2023, that DLSSTweaks could select DLSS presets and force-enable DLAA in many games supporting DLSS upscaling. The publication cautioned that it was not a drop-in upgrade: users needed to edit a configuration file and consult the tool’s documentation. That description is not a setup guide for the latest release, and the report’s compatibility claim should not be treated as current.

- WINDFORCE cooling system
HotHardware cited Cyberpunk 2077 as a DLAA-versus-TAA demonstration and said it had tested DLAA in Deep Rock Galactic, Monster Hunter Rise, and Hogwarts Legacy. The publication judged DLAA preferable to other temporal anti-aliasing options in those examples and characterized the performance impact as “pretty small.” Those are the publication’s observations in the cited cases, not a universal image-quality finding or a quantified performance result. Read the HotHardware report for its original context.
Which route should you choose?
| Route | When it fits | What to verify |
|---|---|---|
| Native in-game DLAA | The game offers DLAA directly in its graphics settings. | Enable the game’s own DLAA option; availability is title-specific. |
| NVIDIA App override | The game appears as supported for DLAA override in NVIDIA’s list. | Follow NVIDIA’s procedure and version requirements; the game must have DLSS Super Resolution enabled. |
| DLSSTweaks | You are considering the third-party configurable utility described in the 2023 report. | Consult the utility’s own current documentation. The 2023 report does not establish present compatibility, and NVIDIA App override support does not prove DLSSTweaks support. |
DLSS neural-rendering technologies use RTX Tensor Cores, so DLAA requires GeForce RTX hardware. NVIDIA’s cited documentation does not establish a specific RTX model requirement for this procedure.
