The Cinèst Core Collection A1 and E1 are premium furniture consoles designed around an ultra-short-throw (UST) projector and home-cinema equipment. They combine an opening projector compartment with side storage, cable routing and power outlets. What Hi-Fi? reported UK prices of £2,300 for the smaller cabinet and £3,450 for the larger one on 29 September 2026; confirm current pricing and availability with Cinèst before buying.
What is the Cinèst Core Collection?
The Core Collection is a pair of projector consoles, the A1 and E1, intended for UST-based home cinemas. The centre section opens using a motorised mechanism described as a reverse trapdoor, exposing a platform for the projector. When the projector is not in use, the cabinet can close over that central compartment.
Cinèst describes the series as “engineered to keep your projector at its best – whichever UST you choose”. That is the company’s claim, not an independently established performance finding. What Hi-Fi?’s report does not describe a hands-on cabinet test.
How does the projector compartment work?
The platform is reported to adjust for height or depth by remote, and the Core series is said to remember preferred positions. Those features could help with projector placement, but the report does not independently verify their operation or explain the adjustment range. Check the required placement dimensions for your projector and screen before relying on the adjustment to achieve alignment.

Will a UST projector fit the A1 or E1?
Cinèst says the console works with “basically any UST model,” but the report supplies no model-by-model compatibility list or verified measurements. Treat this as a broad manufacturer claim, not a guarantee that a particular projector will fit or align correctly. Ask Cinèst to confirm compatibility with your exact projector model, including its dimensions and required placement, before ordering.
What equipment can the cabinets store?
The side sections are intended for other AV components; What Hi-Fi? gives a 4K Blu-ray player and an AV amplifier as examples. The report does not specify compartment dimensions or confirm fit for any particular component, so compare your equipment’s dimensions with Cinèst’s cabinet measurements and check access for cables and ventilation.

The reported connections and cable-management features are:

The cabinets are also reported to have built-in ventilation and perforated fabric panels. Cinèst attributes a cooling benefit to this design, but the report provides no temperature measurements or independent thermal testing. Confirm that your components’ ventilation requirements can be met in the intended arrangement.

The report does not provide full cabinet dimensions. Measure the available room space and check the actual product measurements before choosing a size.
How to decide whether a Core console suits your setup
- Check room fit. Obtain the cabinet’s full dimensions and compare them with the space available, rather than relying only on the reported 91-, 103- or 118-inch size labels.
- Confirm projector compatibility. Ask Cinèst about your exact UST model and its placement requirements; do not treat the general compatibility statement as confirmation.
- List the equipment to store. Check the measurements of your Blu-ray player, amplifier and other components against the side compartments, and consider ventilation and cable access.
- Compare the complete system cost. Include the console, projector and any other components you need. What Hi-Fi? cited the Hisense PX3-Pro at £2,499 / $3,499 / AU$4,499 as a price comparison; those figures alone do not establish projector compatibility or the value of a complete setup.
- Choose the finish and size. The report lists black or brown for both models, with the E1 at 91 inches and the A1 at 103 or 118 inches. Confirm options currently offered before purchase.
What is established—and what is not
What Hi-Fi?’s 29 September 2026 report describes the Core Collection’s intended use, listed size options, finishes, reported UK prices and advertised features. It does not provide independent cabinet testing, measured cooling results, a model-by-model projector compatibility list, or verified component-fit dimensions.
