Display: larger Xiaomi screen or faster OnePlus refresh rate?
Xiaomi lists a 6.99-inch AMOLED screen, making the Redmi Note 17 5G the larger-display option in the available specifications. Its Chile page gives a resolution of 2396 × 1080 and a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz. Because that is a Chilean regional page, check the Indian handset’s listing before relying on those exact values.

OnePlus specifies a 1.5K AMOLED panel at 1272 × 2772, up to 144Hz, and 1,800 nits HBM. That is the higher stated refresh rate and pixel dimensions of the two in the cited specifications. A higher refresh rate can make supported scrolling and animation look smoother, but it does not by itself establish overall display quality or battery life.

Performance and memory: verify the regional configuration
OnePlus’s product page describes a Snapdragon 7-series platform. Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 and 8GB RAM are identified by comparison listings, rather than confirmed in the cited headline OnePlus specification. Those third-party details should be checked against the exact Indian model and storage configuration before buying.
Comparison pages identify the Redmi Note 17 5G’s chipset as Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 and list 6GB or 8GB RAM variants. Treat these as secondary listing details and confirm the local SKU; model names and memory options can vary by market. The available figures alone do not establish real-world speed or gaming performance.

For Xiaomi, 91mobiles lists ₹27,999 on Amazon and Smartprix lists ₹30,999. The figures are third-party snapshots, not a Xiaomi official India price confirmation; the cited material does not establish that the listed offers have the same RAM, storage, seller conditions, or discounts as the OnePlus store configurations. On those snapshots alone, OnePlus’s ₹33,999 8GB/128GB price is about ₹6,000 above ₹27,999 and ₹3,000 above ₹30,999, but neither difference is a like-for-like verified saving.

Which should you buy?
Choose the OnePlus Nord CE 6 5G if…
- You value the higher listed 144Hz refresh rate over Xiaomi’s 120Hz maximum.
- You want the higher stated charging rating: 80W versus Xiaomi’s 45W.
- The 32MP front-camera specification or the officially listed India storage options suit your needs.
Consider the Xiaomi Redmi Note 17 5G if…
- A larger 6.99-inch display is your priority, subject to confirming the Indian variant has the Chile-listed panel specifications.
- A current, verified price for your preferred configuration makes it meaningfully less expensive than the Nord CE 6.
For either phone, compare the exact Indian model number and RAM/storage configuration rather than relying only on a shared product name. Xiaomi’s cited specification source is its Chile product page, and it notes that package contents can vary by region; it does not establish Indian accessories or specifications.
