The Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 has the stronger CPU showing in the cited Geekbench comparisons, but AnTuTu results disagree on which chip leads. There is also a naming wrinkle: MediaTek’s official materials identify the Dimensity 7300 and 7300X, not a “Dimensity 7300 Plus.” A third-party database uses the Plus label, but that does not confirm it as an official MediaTek name or a distinct chip.
What does “Dimensity 7300 Plus” mean?
MediaTek announced the Dimensity 7300 and Dimensity 7300X on May 30, 2024. Its announcement describes the 7300X as intended for flip-style foldables with dual-display support; it does not name a Dimensity 7300 Plus. MediaTek’s announcement is the clearest official reference for the two models.
Separately, 91mobiles has a database entry called “Dimensity 7300 Plus,” assigns it model number MT6878, and lists a 4x Cortex-A78 plus 4x Cortex-A55 CPU layout. Its entry does not establish that “7300 Plus” is an official MediaTek name or a separate silicon design. The 91mobiles listing reports results for the label, but buyers should verify the processor named on the exact phone’s official specification page.
Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 vs Dimensity 7300: specifications

| Connectivity | Qualcomm lists a Snapdragon 5G Modem-RF System. NanoReview reports Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4. | MediaTek describes dual 5G SIM with dual VoNR. NanoReview reports Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4. |
Vendor specifications and third-party comparisons do not provide identical levels of detail. The Snapdragon CPU arrangement uses newer Cortex-A720/A520 cores in the cited specifications, while the Dimensity 7300 uses Cortex-A78/A55 cores. Both are described as 4 nm, but that process label alone does not establish equal power consumption, heat, or sustained speed. Qualcomm’s and MediaTek’s feature lists describe what a chip can support; phone makers choose which camera sensors, connectivity features, and software capabilities to implement. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 specifications and MediaTek’s Dimensity announcement give the vendors’ descriptions.

Benchmark results: why the rankings differ
Geekbench results in the cited databases and handset comparison favor the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3. AnTuTu does not produce a consistent winner across sources. These are results from separate data pools, devices, and methods—not a single controlled head-to-head test. The displayed aggregates below were accessed October 4, 2026; database figures can change.
| Source and test context | Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 | Dimensity 7300 |
|---|---|---|
| NanoReview, displayed AnTuTu 11 aggregate; 140 Snapdragon samples and 311 Dimensity samples | 1,041,899 | 879,714 |
| NanoReview, displayed Geekbench 6 aggregate; 14 Snapdragon samples and 49 Dimensity samples | 1,161 single-core; 3,390 multi-core | 1,001 single-core; 2,918 multi-core |
| 91mobiles, displayed AnTuTu results | 834,739 | 985,594 |
| 91mobiles, displayed Geekbench results | 1,208 single-core; 3,325 multi-core | 1,054 single-core; 3,058 multi-core |
NanoReview’s comparison page shows Snapdragon ahead in its AnTuTu 11 and Geekbench 6 aggregates. 91mobiles’ comparison instead shows a higher AnTuTu result for the Dimensity, while its Geekbench results favor Snapdragon. The 91mobiles page does not state a publication year for those displayed figures.

Phone-based results are not processor-only tests
Gizmochina compared a Nothing Phone 3a Pro with Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 against a CMF Phone 1 with Dimensity 7300. It reported AnTuTu totals of 815,716 and 641,755 respectively, and Geekbench single-/multi-core scores of 1,189/3,356 and 1,023/2,926. Because these are two different handsets, their results reflect the phones and test conditions as well as their processors; they do not isolate the chips under identical conditions. Gizmochina’s comparison provides the device context.
For the “7300 Plus” label specifically, 91mobiles reports AnTuTu 728,221 and Geekbench 1,020 single-core and 2,874 multi-core. The listing says its top AnTuTu result came from real-world testing of a device using the chip and lists realme 15. Those figures are not an official MediaTek confirmation of the Plus name, and the source does not provide a matched test against the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3.

What the scores can—and cannot—tell you
CPU performance
The displayed Geekbench aggregates and the cited handset-based results consistently favor Snapdragon on single-core and multi-core CPU scores. That supports calling the Snapdragon the stronger candidate for CPU benchmark performance in these comparisons. It does not establish that every phone using it will feel faster in every task.
Graphics and gaming
The available figures here do not provide a controlled, comparable GPU benchmark or matched real-game test. A GPU name or an overall benchmark score cannot establish frame rates in a particular game. Cooling design, game optimization, graphics settings, and firmware can all affect a phone’s graphics performance.

Heat, battery life, and sustained speed
No matched thermal or battery-life measurements are established in the cited comparisons. A 4 nm process description is not a substitute for testing actual phones under the same workload. Check reviews of the exact handset for sustained performance, heat, and battery behavior rather than inferring them from the chip name.
Vendor efficiency claims
MediaTek said in 2024 that the Dimensity 7300 series offered 20% faster FPS and 20% improved energy efficiency versus “competitor alternatives,” without naming one specific competing phone in that claim. It also claimed 13–30% greater power efficiency in common 5G sub-6 GHz connectivity scenarios for 5G UltraSave 3.0+ compared with competitor alternatives. These are MediaTek’s vendor claims, not independent head-to-head measurements of the Dimensity 7300 against the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3. MediaTek’s release gives the stated comparisons.

Which phone should you choose?
Choose between complete phone models, not processor names alone. The chip-level evidence points to a Snapdragon advantage in the cited Geekbench results, while AnTuTu results conflict and the “7300 Plus” identity is not settled by MediaTek’s official naming. For a practical buying decision, compare the exact phone variants on:
- Price and regional model: confirm the local version and its listed processor rather than assuming a name applies across markets.
- Cooling and sustained performance: look for testing on the specific handset, especially if you play demanding games or run long workloads.
- Memory and storage: compare the configurations actually sold; these can affect responsiveness and app loading.
- Software support: check the manufacturer’s update policy for the model and region.
- Display, battery, and cameras: assess the components installed in the phone, not the maximum capabilities listed for the chipset.
For context, the cited handset comparison uses the Nothing Phone 3a Pro and CMF Phone 1 as examples of Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 and Dimensity 7300 phones. They are useful as device examples, not proof that the models remain available at a particular price or in every region.
