If your iPhone won’t charge, test a different power source, restart the phone, check the cable and adapter for damage, and inspect the charging port for visible debris. Test charging after each step so you can identify what changes the result. If you see a liquid-detection alert, unplug the cable and let everything dry; don’t try to charge through a wet connector.
Try these checks in order
Apple Support recommends checking the power source, restarting the iPhone, inspecting accessories, and checking the connector. After each step, reconnect the phone and see whether it charges.
- Test another power source. Try a different wall outlet or a computer. If you use a computer, make sure it is turned on.
- Restart your iPhone. Once it has restarted, connect it to power again.
- Inspect the cable and USB power adapter. Look for breaks, bent prongs, or other visible damage. Stop using any damaged accessory; try a known-good compatible cable or adapter instead.
- Check the outlet and connections. Confirm the outlet works, then firmly reconnect the cable to the adapter and the adapter to the outlet.
- Look for debris in the charging port. Remove visible debris without inserting an object or scraping aggressively. If it remains unclear or the port appears damaged, contact Apple or an authorized service provider.
Swapping in a known-good cable or adapter is a diagnostic check, not a guarantee that buying an accessory will fix the phone. Connector compatibility depends on the iPhone model.
If an accessory alert appears
If iPhone reports that an accessory is unsupported or uncertified, Apple advises connecting the accessory directly rather than through an intermediary adapter. Check the port for debris, restart the phone, and try another compatible cable or charger. Also make sure iOS is up to date. If the alert persists with known-good accessories, seek service.

- 【Strong Adsorption】The inspiration of the silicone phone suction case comes from the adhesive force of the octopus. Each suction cup phone mount is 3.15 inches long and 2.17 inches wide, with 24 independent suction cups providing a stronger and more stable suction force, so you don't have to worry about your phone falling during use.
- 【Back of Phone Suction Grip】Remove the adhesive film on the phone suction cup and stick it on the phone case. You can then fix the phone on any smooth surface, which is very convenient. (The phone suction cup cannot be removed and reused after being attached to the phone case. It is recommended to attach it to a regular phone case, not a valuable one.)
- 【Widely Used】Our non-slip silicone phone sticky grip mount attaches to almost any flat phone case and make it compatible with common mobile phones such as iPhone and Android. You can shoot, watch videos or video calls in the kitchen, gym, dance studio, bathroom and other places.
- 【Capture the Wonderful Picture】Whether you are a TikTok creator or just like to share videos and photos, this phone suction cup can help you hands-free capture wonderful videos and photos for sharing with friends.
- 【Note】You can fix the phone suction cup on a smooth surface such as a mirror or glass. If necessary, wipe the suction cup with a damp cloth to obtain stronger suction. Before releasing your hand, make sure the phone is firmly fixed. (Not applicable to rough walls, wooden surfaces, and other uneven surfaces)
If charging stops at 80%
A pause near 80% does not necessarily mean the battery or charger has failed. The cause may be a charging feature or a temperature safeguard.
- Optimized Battery Charging can delay charging beyond 80% based on the phone’s learned charging routine.
- Charge Limit can cap charging at a selected level on iPhone 15 models and later. Settings and availability can vary by model and software version.
- Heat protection can limit charging above 80% if the iPhone gets too warm. Move the phone and charger to a cooler place and let the device cool.
Apple notes that charging optimizations can help reduce battery wear, so a pause at 80% is not, by itself, a reason to turn them off. For details on the available limits and optimization behavior, see Apple’s guidance on Charge Limit and Optimized Battery Charging.

- SUPERIOR COMFORT — Unlike traditional circular ear buds, the design of EarPods is defined by the geometry of the ear. Which makes them more comfortable for more people than any other ear bud–style headphones.
- HIGH-QUALITY AUDIO — The speakers inside EarPods have been engineered to maximize sound output and minimize sound loss, which means you get high-quality audio.
- BUILT-IN REMOTE — EarPods with USB-C plug also include a built-in remote that lets you adjust the volume, control the playback of music and video, and answer or end calls with a pinch of the cord.
- COMPATIBILITY — Works with all devices that have a USB-C port.
- INTEGRATED MICROPHONE — A built-in microphone precisely captures your voice while you’re on the phone, taking a FaceTime call, or summoning Siri — so you’re always heard loud and clear.
If your iPhone charges slowly
Slow charging is different from not charging at all. For supported fast-charging iPhones, a “Slow Charger” message in Settings means the connected charger cannot provide optimal power. Whether a charger is suitable depends on the iPhone model and the charger; without those details, a specific charging rate cannot be established. Check the connection and try a compatible known-good power source. Apple’s iPhone User Guide explains charging options.
If you see a liquid-detection alert
iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone XR, and later can warn when liquid is detected in the connector after you connect a cable or accessory. Treat the alert as a stop signal for wired charging: Apple warns that charging through a wet connector can corrode the pins and cause permanent damage.

- Unplug the cable from the iPhone and disconnect it from the power adapter or accessory.
- With the connector facing down, gently tap the iPhone against your hand to help remove liquid.
- Leave the iPhone, cable ends, and accessory in a dry place with airflow. Do not use an external heat source or compressed air, put an object such as a cotton swab or paper towel into the connector, or place the phone in rice.
- Wait at least 30 minutes before trying the cable again. If the alert returns, continue drying; full drying can take up to 24 hours.
If the back of the iPhone is dry, a Qi-certified wireless charger may be used while the connector dries. This is a temporary alternative, not a repair. Apple describes overriding the alert only as an emergency option; it is not routine troubleshooting advice. See Apple’s liquid-detection guidance for the full procedure.
