For subscriptions billed in your Trend Micro account, go to Licenses, open Manage Subscription, select Cancel Subscription, and finish by selecting Stop Auto Renew. Your current protection remains active until the subscription expires.
Cancel a subscription billed through your Trend Micro account
These steps apply to a consumer subscription managed and billed through your Trend Micro account. Confirm that you have the correct account and subscription before changing its renewal setting.
- Sign in to the Trend Micro account associated with the subscription.
- Open Licenses, find the active subscription, and select Manage Subscription.
- Select Cancel Subscription, then review and continue through the confirmation screen.
- Submit the cancellation feedback form.
- Select Stop Auto Renew to confirm. The process is not complete until you choose this final control. Keep any confirmation for your records.
If the page shows Renew Now instead of Manage Subscription, auto-renew may already be off. Trend Micro says cancelling only stops future automatic charges; protection for the current subscription continues until its expiration date. Trend Micro’s cancellation guide has the account-billed flow.
Cancel through the provider that bills you
The Trend Micro account is not always where a subscription is managed. Use the channel shown on your receipt or payment statement:

- Apple App Store, Microsoft Store, or Google Play: cancel through the store that manages the subscription. Trend Micro says these subscriptions must be cancelled through the store, not the Trend Micro app. See Trend Micro’s subscription cancellation help.
- Retailer or internet service provider (ISP): contact the partner that bills you or Trend Micro support if you need help. A partner-billed subscription may not offer a working Manage Subscription control in your Trend Micro account. For subscriptions bought directly through Best Buy, Best Buy manages billing. Fix a missing or failing cancellation option
“Manage Subscription” is missing
Trend Micro lists several possible reasons: auto-renew is already off, payment information is still processing, or a partner manages the purchase. If the active subscription does not appear, check the license display filter. If the purchase is partner-billed, cancel with that provider rather than relying on the account control. Trend Micro’s help guide covers these account cases.
“Oops, something went wrong” appears
Trend Micro says subscription information may still be processing across its account systems. If the error persists or you cannot confirm that auto-renew is off, contact Trend Micro support or the provider that bills the subscription.

You were charged after trying to cancel
Possible explanations listed by Trend Micro include cancelling late, cancelling in a different account, having multiple subscriptions, a synchronization delay, or a billing error. Check every Trend Micro account and subscription for the renewal setting, then contact the billing provider or Trend Micro support to investigate a charge you believe is incorrect. Uninstalling Trend Micro or buying a replacement subscription does not cancel an older subscription’s auto-renewal. See Trend Micro’s post-cancellation billing guidance.

- US storefront renewal timing: Trend Micro’s US shop says automatic renewal extends a subscription by one year, may charge up to 15 days before the current subscription expires, and sends an email 30 days before the automatic charge. These details are for the US storefront and should not be assumed for other countries or partner-billed accounts. See the Trend Micro US shop.
- Refund term in the consumer EULA: Trend Micro’s consumer EULA dated January 2019 states that annual automatic-renewal charges are eligible for a refund within 30 days of the renewal purchase date. This is the term stated in that dated agreement, not a guaranteed universal current rule. Check the refund route and terms for your region and billing channel. See the Trend Micro consumer EULA.
